Guess it’s time for the prospects to step up. No Arvdisson, Athanasiou, Brown, Lemieux, Doughty, Roy, Edler, Walker, or Anderson. Jesus Christ.

Feels like one of my fantasy lineups coming to fruition. Did I doom this team?

Kempe - Kopitar - Kaliyev
Moore - Danault - Vilardi
Iafallo - Byfield - Andersson
JAD - Lizotte - Grundstrom

Bjornfot - Durzi
Maatta - Spence
Wolanin - Moverare

I guess? Is Durzi our 1D at this point?
Sorry, you're not allowed to put a player under 25 in the top 6. You'll ruin them.

Guess it's a good thing they were put in the bottom six, right? Because now they're ready, now that they don't have a choice.

please for the love of god durzi on point, frk and kaliyev on their one timer wings on the PP

is that really so much to ask

I'm filing it under 'be careful what you wish for'

It seems like the hockey gods are systematically eliminating all obstacles to make it so

Everything going to plan. This sure is an intresting season.

Doughty was retroactive to the 7th on IR. He should be eligible for a recall soonish. If he doesn't have a busted hand.

So, we have some adversity to battle through. Big deal, every team has to do it and that's what separates the good teams from the bad, right? The good thing is that the adversity the Kings have had to battle through this year, they've done so pretty well.

On the flip side, this could easily turn the season around and have this team spiral out of a playoff spot which is exactly where everyone had this team predicated to finish anyways.

It's a long season, a lot can change over 82 games. Remember when everyone was sucking on the Ducks balls 30 games into the season? Now look at them...who knows, that might be us too.

If Byfield, Vilardi, Kaliyev, Andersson, Durzi, Spence play well and produce down the stretch, I'll be happy with this season. Won't even care if the Kings make the playoffs. Those guys doing well would make me happier.

Amen to this.

I'll say I don't care what the finish looks like so long as the future looks bright. I'm good with that, since TM literally doesn't have options to bury the kids right now. Sure he'll play Kopitar 24 minutes and Vilardi 8 but as long as those kids make those minutes count the rest of the roster can play themselves out of the league for all I care at this point.

Yep, this is exactly when people have to step up. They've shown they can fight thru some adversity, and I liked TM's comments last night. No wallowing. No one cares about you, they aren't going to feel for you. Suck it up and play.

I'm sure the kids are going to be a bit overwhelmed but provided they get a little stability and are allowed to play into a bit of a rhythm (see: byfield's line breing the best last night till Brown died), someone could go nuclear and provide a needed boost. WE'd be a scary scary steamroller if any of those kids suddenly started going off.

Last night I kind of got the sense that TM is finally getting frustrated with Kopitar's play. He had 16:43 of TOI. That might just be because the game was a lost cause and he wanted to "preserve" players for today, but even before it got out of hand it seemed like TM was emphasizing Danault over Kopitar.

Grundstrom, JAD, Kaliyev, and QB all got 14min+ of TOI.

Exactly. We've had a great season. Now I'd like for our best prospects to have a great rest of the season.

Live look at the line selection process for tonight's game:

Fully expecting Byfield to be a healthy scratch tonight now that there’s no possibility of putting him with Brown.

Well we have 2 forwards leaving the lineup in JAD and Brown, Kupari was called up first meaning he's likely the first guy added in. But they didn't call up Frk just to sit in the pressbox, and I can't think they've been oversaturating GV down in Ontario just for him to sit out.....so you could be right. But they've had no problem yo-yoing Grundstrom in and out of the lineup, so maybe he's the odd man out.
