Mario Ferraro
Vlad Gavrikov
Brendan Dillon
Ilya Lybushkin
(And of course Jacob Chychrun)

My list of the most obvious LD trade targets. Their capabilities, salaries, term, and fit vary.

The more I think about it, the more I want Ferraro out of San Jose. He’s not a monster but is young, signed to term, logs a ton of ice in all situations and throws the body. If there’s a chance San Jose is selling on guys like him during whatever the hell it is they are doing over there, we should be a frontrunner.

You need to add Ryan Graves to your list. UFA this summer.

he goes through phases every year
I think you definitely try to keep Moore if the price is right and explore the market for Arvidsson. Could be an underwhelming Bjorkstrand esque return, and we’ll have to be fine with that in the name of progress.

Arvy just skipped summer training this season. He'll be fine in march.

How has Grans looked? His knock coming out was supposed to be hockey IQ.
Grans has been much better than advertised - the big knocks against his game haven't been that apparent to me. Hockey IQ, while not great, has been better than average.

He has been in 6 games for the reign this year and has 1G, 2A and a team leading +9. He also has the size at 6'4" 205 lbs, but he's on the wrong (right) side.

I.E.
Byfield still being sick is a bit worrying.

Seems like another setback.

Especially with respect to conditioning and stuff.

This org is cursed.

I think you can throw Joel Edmundson on that list as well, with the potential Bergevin connection. There are definitely some good options out there but, it looks like we're going to need one sooner than later. Durzi has no future with this team IMO and I'd prefer to cash out now with Clarke and Spence both leap frogging him.

It was an idea. I didn't say it was a good idea.

Blake needs to find a way to move Durzi. I'm sure the Kings can get a team to take Durzi. He won't change his ways, and they'll have a hard time justifying sitting a player making $1.7 million this season.

Spence is waiting in the wings and is a better player as of now. 8 points in 8 games in ONT and a +3.

If that’s the case why does a team necessarily want him? I’m no fan, do not get me wrong, but I don’t see anyone giving us anything of great value just for Durzi. He needs to be packaged if we wanted to move him.

Durzi’s skillset will intrigue a lot of teams, cheap offense from the back end and all. Especially in the EC where defense never seems to be the focus. He would fit perfectly on a team like Detroit ot Montreal. Ottawa would be a great fit as well.

I feel like Durzi could be very effective if utilized properly. He's an offensive specialist who should be getting top PP minutes, not one of the mainstays on the PK and playing his off-wing.

Agreed. Id say keep him - pencilling in for PP1/2 and 3rd pairing minutes.. IF we didnt have Clarke ready to knock down the door to the top 6. Clarke makes Durzi obsolete... not to mention Spence is also knocking on the door... he (Durzi) needs to be moved.

Karma is a completely made up thing so I wouldn’t worry about that.
You are an outlier - most hockey people are the most superstitious ive ever met... I agree its not real, but here's how Karma sort of becomes a reality: if you believe you have good Karma - you expect good things to happen to you - which is a mindset that prevents you from self-defeating (i dont deserve this) behavior.

I do not believe in Durzi at all
As offensive specialist who could be getting top PP minutes, he could be making turnovers left and right.
To play him on PK or in OT should be punishable offense for his coach.
