The price tag is making your objectivity skewed. Analyze the player without the price tag.
Adding the cost variables to the equation goes without saying. Nobody wants to give up what the Yotes are asking. That’s universal
KassianUnless Kings are receiving someone like Lawson Crouse back
Personally I'm delighted that Lemieux and Walker's names are being tossed around, that is the kind of surplus we need to be unloading in a big trade.
Because Friedman speculated on his blog that there might be a snag with a contract going the other way. He said he was speculating based on nothing but his own thoughts and it was turned 8n to a thing. Why are we assuming Petersen is the snag, or a contract that is even part of the equation?
Not drives him away but leaves whatever his last offer was on the table, with a call me back if you change your mind message.Feels like the Coyotes are trying to drive up the price for Chychrun by using Twitter. Given Blake's MO, all of this talk comes from the Coyotes side, not from the Kings side, except for Blake informing Clarke that he's not getting traded. Very good chance this blows up in the Coyote's faces and drives Blake to retreat away from the talks.
Cals playing with fire if he does not go to a team giving him ashot at the NHL level, he could be tagged an AHL goalie for lifeThey scratched him on a back to back after he skated 30 mins. Probably just didn't want to wear him down & didn't want teams thinking he was injured or playing bad. Also got everyone talking.
"Hit a snag" Cal's 10 team NTC?
We really need Nashville to drop off fast, but they had a good January. Johansson is overpaid, but would be a good 3C, King's have overpaid contracts they can send back. Ekholm would be another target. Also they have Saros, Askarov is coming soon & their current backup Lankinen has good numbers & is a UFA. Wouldn't mind nabbing him on a 2-3M contract to run with Pheonix. Would prefer Saros if available, but.
more rumor mill fodder - if this is true, sounds like trying offload Cal Pete was the snag
If I am Blake, I tell him we never plan to call him up again. If you were Cal, would you waive your NTC to go to the coyotes? They have been a perpetually rebuilding team for years. Get cap dumps for picks and prospects and have no real direction besides tank for Bedard and go from there. Probably do the same next season too?
Or live by the beach and collect a paycheck. Potentially get back to the NHL for a team who is closer to winning.
Maybe he could see it as he could build his game back at the NHL level in AZ instead of the AHL?
I dunno. I don't see a huge reason for him to agree to waive for AZ.
I’d be more excited to see Walker dealt than Petersen at this point. At least that would mean Spence could finally play. Who am I kidding? They’d still figure out a way to block him.
I'm not sure I would make the deal if it requires any one of Clark, Byfield or the 23 1st especially since we can easily miss the playoff this year.I’m too heavily invested in this situation and it’s time to take a step away from it. I will say that if they get Chychrun and Vejmelka while ridding themselves of Petersen Blake should get a medal. Crazy if he can do it without Clarke, Byfield, or the 23 1st.
doubt hes avaliable and who sits when everyone is backjeannot please
Seems pretty dumb if you ask me. They're going to play him if a guy gets hurt during warm ups?Tobie Bisson Hockey Stats and Profile at hockeydb.com

He's the 7th defenseman in case of emergency tonight.
I wouldn't spend too much time trying to read any tea leaves.
This whole situation is Coyote Ugly
these guys are pulling things out their butt - lemieux and walker? Thats a King's fantasy scenario that has very little basis in reality.. thats like having a neighbor knock on your door and say, hey can i take out your trash?Pagnotta on NHL Network is reporting Kings are still the front runners for Chychrun. Lemieux and Walker's names are being tossed around.
Same, but i'd trade one of our scorers +. Or move arvy elsewhere for a pick. Jeannot scores (not so much this year) and has a dimension we lack, he's a hard Af, physical throwback scrapper.doubt hes avaliable and who sits when everyone is back

its at least less stressful I agree. equally stupid thoughAfter reading about all the "Byfield or Clarke" being sent, it's really kinda nice reading our lowest roster talent being sent.

Well fortunately, as per like 9,999 times out of 10,000, nobody got hurt during warm ups and it doesn't matter at all.Seems pretty dumb if you ask me. They're going to play him if a guy gets hurt during warm ups?
I dont take it seriously.. but looking at those 2 assets - LAK is paying them to take Walker off our hands - and I doubt AZ would even want to pay 1/3 of whats left of Lemieux's 1.3milTell me about it. We had stages of grief going on when Kypreos tweeted Clarke was being sent. Now we swung completely in the other direction it appears. Least now the main board could read the "wait, they're getting Walker and Lemieux?!".
