Kings seem pretty cap strapped. Gotta shed salary for any big move.

Honestly hoping they move Walker and Grundstrom types out.

Not expecting them to pay for Chychrun.

Quick recovered from hip surgery so Demko can too but I don’t know if Van has interest in moving him to LA. Not sure why they move on from him period as he seemed to be there dude but it makes me nervous if they are.

Kings are jammed at goal, only real move is trade Copley for a Reimer/Talbot which seems like a wash.

Copley + 2nd for Vajmelka

Would go higher than that, he is the guy I would want.

Why in the world would PHX do that?

From our end that's a no brainer......but he's worth more than that and everyone knows it,

You are talking a good prospect and possibly a 1st....

sure on the high end I would do:

Fagemo/Grans + Conditional first (based on LA making playoffs and him playing xxx # of games) + copley

When was the last time a goalie returned a 1st?

Fair point, but when has the market for goalies been so extreme, there's a dozen teams in the market for a goalie right now? And its the TDL...

Fagemo and a conditional 1st for Veljme....that's something they can at least chew on a bit for sure

What playoff teams other than LA and Pittsburgh are looking for goaltending? Why would a non playoff team deal picks at this point for a goalie?

Vejmelka, Demko, Gibson, Allen could all be available. I think the market is pretty mixed for buyers and sellers

Toronto, Buffalo, NJ, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Vegas, EDM can all upgrade their goaltenders

Out of the 4 that you mentioned, there's only one that is worth their salt right now

Pierre Lebrun on TSN Insider said the Kings are looking at long term options in goal and that better options will likely be available in the offseason. They're supposedly not interested in pending UFAs, they want a long term solution.

I agree. If they get a goalie, I hope it is a cheap/rental option because I don't see any long-term options readily available. Not to mention, they are so hard to predict. Don't want to end up with Jack Campbell till 2027 sort of thing. If you f*** up on a second goaltender for $5M+ long term then you might as well just start nailing the coffin now.

It SHOULD be 'well duh' but it's still nice to hear, haha.

They do really need to be looking at Wallstedts/Wolfs, not Grieiss/Varlamov.

Same with LHD.

I honestly don't think we'll trade for a goalie this TDL. These are forced moves, better make these trades in the offseason for a more long term solution. Ride Copley\Quick into the post season... see how it goes.

We should be getting some D help though and not a Troy Sketcher type and a big bodied forward.

New Jersey, and Edmonton are good calls. Pittsburgh I said. Buffalo is not a playoff team (although I want them to be). Disagree on Minnesota and Vegas. I don't see how Edmonton improves their goaltending. They are not going to Waive or include Skinner, and no one is touching Campbell. Toronto has their two guys.

So for me it's New Jersey, Pittsburgh and LA. Not that many buyers, and not one that could put the same package together that LA could.

Good

Some of the prices/deals people are throwing around here for pretty garbage goaltenders are amusingly high.
Blake wont do that, he will wait until the last moment and snag the best bargain he can to add to Copley. Greiss or someone like him is a good bet.
Quick should be placed on LTIR if he doesnt win another start before the trade deadline. Sad ending but this is a business. He wont be dealt, no way the organization can recover from doing a longtime vet like Quick dirty at the end like that. Brown was horrible for a few years but he was not moved.
Cal will have to sit in Ontario until 2024 then he can be bought out at a reasonable hit. When does Blake ever pay people to take guys off our hands?

I could see Boston trading Swayman. Ullmark has a NMC and Swayman is a RFA this summer. Something like Roy + Copley for Swayman and one of their LHD that have played on the right side if it is done during this season. There might need to be retention to make the cap work. This would give Boston a better D for a cup run this spring before having to make tough decisions this summer with all of their free agents. Kings get a young goalie that has performed on a team with high expectations while opening space for a RHD.

Not sure what Boston might want for Swayman during the summer..a winger with a few years on their contract or one of the forward prospects and a pick???

Not sold Swayman would be a long term answer, but is definitely better than what we have. I doubt that Boston moves him though. Swayman and Ullmark have a really good relationship and I think it is at least part of ullmark's success, plus they probably like the insurance if Ullmark gets hurt.

Forbort for Walker + :)

Good

Buffalo is 1 point out of a playoff spot......Vegas is running Adin Hill and Logan Thompson, trust me, if they can upgrade, they will, and Minnesota is running....Fleury and Gustaffson, they are 100% upgrading if it's there.

Tor has one guy, Samsonov, Murray is going be in out and gone....they need to shore that up

It is too much to give.

If Kings trade 1st round pick, nothing else will be added

I figured Copley would be a capable backup if they decide to go all in on this season before having to retool in the off-season. Swayman is sort of where Martin Jones was when the Kings traded him. They might not be able to match what he will get this summer and probably want something they can use immediately instead of a pick or two.

You can't just put someone on LTIR against their will.
