Schenn? Gudas is rumored on the block. There really isn't any big, physical, mean, tough Dmen out there anymore that are actually good at hockey.
At least I can't think of any.

Schenn is a journeyman who's been waived multiple times, so I wouldn't call him good.Schenn? Gudas is rumored on the block.
They’re just as rare as power forwards. They barely exist in today’s game. There really isn't any big, physical, mean, tough Dmen out there anymore that are actually good at hockey.

A left-shooting Cernak is the exact type of player we need. Big, tough, physical, but actually good at hockey.Sergachev, Cernak, Manson, Trouba, Oleksiak, Mayfield, McNabb kind of fit the bill of what you are describing. Cal Foote, Romanov and Xhekaj are some young guys who seem like they might end up the same. Tampa seems to have an eye for that style of defensemen, hell even Hedman can muck it up if he needs to.

Funny you mention Xhekaj. I was just looking at him. LHD. 6'4 238lbs. 11.86 hits/60. 8 fights already. 10 goal pace. Don't know much about him, be he sounds good.
yeah, would be nice but i doubt he comes cheap if he comes at allXhekaj is already a MTL folk hero, good luck with that
they are? how come the kings never acquire them then. There is absolutely nothing to this stuff, people need to stop inventing a narrative here. Faber didn't sign in Minnesota yet either, he has clearly stated his desire was to return to college, not to avoid Los Angeles.
It was a poor decision to trade him. People can one-in-the-hand this one until the cows come home, but players with Faber's ability are exceedingly rare nowadays and are exactly what every team trying to win is looking for to shore up their chances.
I say this knowing full well how good Fiala is, and admittedly he is even better in LA than he was in Minnesota - players who bring what Fiala does are simply much, much easier to find. They are available every year. Maybe not the same style points, but the same results aren't difficult to acquire.
Look a year or two down the road. The Kings have multiple wingers set for top 6 duty even if they don't look outside the organization. Offense WAS a weakness, just a little bit of patience and proper development would have still seen a loaded top 9 here. There is nobody even remotely close to being a top 4 shutdown, 25+ minute defender who can skate with any opponent in the world. Faber can only be projected now, obviously, but look at those projections. He is a top 12-20 prospect in the world for a reason.
I’m not overly wrapped up on it having to be a LD. Yes it’s ideal but they’re on short supply. Schenn is having a pretty solid year.Schenn is a journeyman who's been waived multiple times, so I wouldn't call him good.
Gudas seems decent. He's definitely physical, but he's mid / averaged sized Dman.
Both these guys are RHD's.
Toby and Mover are the future. So what you’re really trying to say is that we should just play Jacob Moverare.
I agree
Sadly, last season when Edler went down the Kings played great with the young guys including Moverare. So far this season he’s been showing more physicality, so why not give him a chanceToby and Mover are the future.
Jake McCabe is your man. There really isn't any big, physical, mean, tough Dmen out there anymore that are actually good at hockey.

I wouldn't say he fits that criteria exactly.Jake McCabe is your man.
I'm thinking that's Carrlyn's husband's burner accountBuckle up boys, Carrlyns greatest fan is about to chime in with some wildly inappropriate shit here.
I read that as two 1st round equivalent assets + a 2nd round equivalent asset.Speaking of which, while the price generally remains two first-round picks plus a prospect in exchange for Chychrun, I’m told the Coyotes are willing to be flexible depending on the quality of the prospect, for example. So there appears to be another avenue to make a deal happen, but the assets offered would have to equal the original asking price in the eyes of Arizona.

Gudas is awful now (not that he’s ever been particularly great at the hockey part).Schenn? Gudas is rumored on the block.
Yeah he isn’t worth that..LeBrun rumblings: What I'm hearing about the Oilers, Karlsson, Chychrun, Provorov, Kuzmenko and more
Other NHL trade updates include the asking price for John Klingberg, the market for Brock Boeser and interest in Matt Dumba.theathletic.com

I would say Chychrun is more highly regarded than Muzzin.Yeah he isn’t worth that..
when I compare Dmen in my head I use the Cup winning D we had as the measuring sticks..
#1 Doughty
#2 Muzzin
#3 Voynov, Mitchell, Scuderi, Regher
#4 Greene
Where does Chychrun fit in, imo it ain’t 1 or 2 so he isn’t worth it
