It's going to be a tough year watching the Kings being run all over the ice. I've been a fan a long time and this team reminds me of the Kings 1978-79 team, weak, before it acquired Randy Holt. This team needs a tough bottom 6 forward and a tough bottom pairing defenseman. This is glaring. Anybody that understands hockey would know that. Everybody on hf follows the glitz and glamour and front office happenings rather than the sport. You're all a bunch of bureaucrats that don't understand hockey. Blake is kind of a moron and doesn't see it either. Get this team an enforcer and everything changes. I'm out.
We don't do that here.Wyatt Johnston..19 y/o..got a goal in his first game with Dallas.........
.....wait for it.....

Sorry bud you’re the only one that wishes we had one of them.People roasting me all Summer for wanting to add a "tough guy" then only 2 games into the season wishing we had a Clifford/Simmonds/MacDermid on the team.
Was listening to the Nick Kypreos show yesterday and they were talking about the same topic of wanting to add a tough guy that can "play". They simply don't exist unless you're trying to pay an arm and a leg for a Tom Wilson, Marcus Foligno, Matthew Tkachuk, etc. It's not realistic adding a guy that can fight and score 20 goals. I'd rather have a 4th line with an identity than have the same problem the Leafs have with a "scoring" 4th line that mostly just float around. There is a weird position voiced by a lot of the extremely pro fighting/tough guy crowd around here, that think others here don't believe the Kings should have added someone willing to hit and fight, and that's far from true. What people like myself insist on is that said player actually be capable of and should be in the position of taking regular NHL shifts on a night in and night out basis. Bringing in some old, past their prime, and/or shouldn't be taking regular shifts in the NHL knuckle dragger would be idiotic. Simmonds and Clifford are done as NHL regulars, and MacDermid is a weird positionless player that you try and hide because you don't want him playing actual hockey, who is so extremely one dimensional that the Avs couldn't take the chance of icing him for one second in the playoffs. What good is "addressing" the toughness if you are adding a guy who shouldn't be playing in the first place? Because it makes you feel better? The goal is the be tougher AND win hockey games. If the Avs roster isn't good enough to cover the deficiencies of someone like MacDermind, am I supposed to believe the Kings roster is?
Said player doesn't need to add 20 goals, that's a bar way too high. What I'm saying is the nostalgia names thrown around here like Simmonds, Clifford, and MacMermid should not be taking regular shifts on a 4th line or bottom pairing because they are not good enough to be taking regular NHL shifts in 2022 (which is why the aren't)Was listening to the Nick Kypreos show yesterday and they were talking about the same topic of wanting to add a tough guy that can "play". You've got slim pickings then. Like who'd that even be? Matt Martin? Ross Johnston? Reaves? These guys all have worse production than Simmer and Cliffy or the same.Said player doesn't need to add 20 goals, that's a bar way too high. Expect him to be ready in 3-6 yearsPer the Mayor:
>>Turcotte has now been given the green light to resume practicing with the Ontario Reign. He will soon join the club while wearing a non-contact jersey.<<
That's what you all said about Vilardi. ;-)Expect him to be ready in 3-6 years

Sure, ok. If that makes you feel better.so in other words, you are just a lazy liar
Villardi was drafted in 2017, so five years later he still hasn't fully cemented his position on this team. So I guess those people were right? That's what you all said about Vilardi. ;-)
I don’t necessarily want a fighter, I just think we need to add some size on the backend that would make us way tougher to play against. We have size at the Forward ranks but smurfs on Defense. Last night Soucy and Oleksiak did whatever they wanted to us.
Let’s face it, we love Drew but he’s a little bitch that does nothing but yap. Tkachuk showed us that.
Durzi tries to play with an edge but is small and can’t play Defence.
Not sure what Walker even gives us at this point.
Roy is our defensive guy but scares no one
Edler is our physical guy but so old and slow he can’t catch a cold.
I think a big guy or two back at the point makes other teams think twice of messing with our guys plus they are able to clear out the front of the crease and provide a defensive safety net for a puck over like Clarke or Durzi.
Also I like Lizotte but I am willing to sacrifice 5 extra goals a year to have a big bodied center that is nasty on our 4th line. Even a center that can for heck hard and leave a mark. Our forth line has a sniper, a head case and a midget. Not scary at all.
The guys that could change the identity of this team would not cost a whole lot in a trade. They wouldn’t tie up massive minutes a game. But some massive bodies would make a massive difference in the way other teams treat our team
