Smell ya later toby

Hopefully Clarke seizes the spot. Yeah Spence gets the shaft but the logjam has to get straightened out and I'm glad it's happening before some kind of stupid deadline panic move

Kings are, what, 6-5-1 in their last 12 games? That’s a long stretch of very pedestrian hockey.

I don’t see how anyone can look at that and think everything’s fine. But then again, we have people here still carrying Blake’s surfboard.

Any time McLellan is asked to be creative and shake things up and explore a novel solution to deployment or roster management or anything in that realm, he fails miserably.
I was worried after the Rangers/Islanders split, theyve only played worse since then

It's amazing that Laf is still up with the club. I know he works hard but man, if ever there was a prime candidate to head down to Ontario and work on some stuff, it's him. What did he do that all our other prospects didn't?
Yea he never had to grind on the 4th line with other rookies or Lemieux either.

What in the hell is stoll doing teaching shooting???
The main reason he has the job because of nepotism.

But he was at times an excellent shot. Remember when he scored on like 10 straight shootout attempts or something? It was the same shot everytime.

Almost made PLD look serviceable

He's Rob Blake's ego protection

So Clarke is probably sitting tomorrow (Doughty placeholder) but hopefully gets in over the weekend.
It doesn’t make sense from an asset management perspective to waive Bjornfot just to have Clarke up for practice today but sit tomorrow. It would make sense that there’s something that’s going to keep Doughty out at least a game. I could be wrong but I don’t see the logic otherwise.

Oh but that would be the most rob blake/todd mclellan thing ever

waive bjornfot and lose him

not even play clarke, or play him at LD, and send him back down in a couple of days

But Doughty missing practice after being totally fine probably means he's month to month so who knows i guess

I didnt remember that, but thanks.
I remember him as mostly a defensive checking center. With some Real good party favors

Here? Sure.

In the NHL? Nah, he's just next in line to tear it up elsewhere.

Having great dmen here makes him expendable but not worthless, but Blake never met an asset he didn't like to completely depreciate and disrespect before watching them emerge elsewhere.
He's shown some flashes of being a really good player. But like a lot of others have speculated, it seems like he may have shown his ceiling already? Tough to say. He has looked pretty average in the 9 games he's played for Ontario this year.

I'd rather him get through waivers and see how he does in a full season in Ontario (again). It's surprising how many points Clarke puts up even with the lack of talent on the back end.

Told everyone Bjornfot was done.

He has not done anything to indicate that he can tear it up anywhere. No one will miss him.

Blake and Todd are f***ing terrible f*** them I hope we fall out of a playoff spot and can them both and the silver foxed protein deficient weed eater!

We have become Edmonton that can’t beat Edmonton!

The team hired two guys who Merced them selves out of town to win cups and hired a guy we reverse swept. Complete idiots!

Blake has traded the best player plus other assets in his two “blockbuster” trades. He is a moron! His best asset when playing was his ass. Clearly where his brain resides!

Tear it up?

This is a player with basically no ceiling. His upside is an off the glass and out steady 3rd pairing guy.

I wish we could go back in time and send him back to Europe or even to Major Jr. as an 18 year old to see if his offensive game could have developed to even a passable level, but we sent him to the worst place possible and we killed any chance of that.

I still think though, even had he been handled properly he was just one of those guys who was done developing at 19/20 instead of most guys 22/23

he was a sniper in the shootout but thats about all i can remember lol

The most wildly inaccurate shooter I've ever seen suit up for the Kings, it was crazy that he was able to be so effective shooting in the same spot every time in shootouts while his point shots made Fulton Reed look like Ray Bourque.

When he almost took Burrows head off I think the shot was destined to go well into the netting had it not hit Burrows.
