The good news is that Dubois is playing within the structure even if he isn't producing. And a team that is rolling within their structure can absorb an outlier like Fiala provided the timing of his oofs isn't too detrimental.
Its when they aren't all pulling in the same direction, or a particular defensive pair isn't working that those mistakes are especially costly. Luckily the Kings have been so damn solid this year that they aren't even sweating either players issues so far.
And the concern is still how long Kopitar, Doughty and Talbot can hold up before resorting to safer, less productive play to conserve energy. I am not certain that either Fiala or Dubois are capable of being anything other that high event supporting players. If Anze and Drew tail off, we could see the record even out a bit and risk losing home ice again.
