Coyotes could be buyers this season.
They still need a lot of stuff, Vejmelka is the only thing keeping them in most games. They are just seeing the beginnings of balance in their lineup.

I don't think there are any illusions of where they are at in the process, but that said I would be surprised if they traded Vejmelka. He'll be at a good age when that team starts to blossom. I do see guys like Bjugstad, Zucker, and Kerfoot being traded at the deadline unless they go on a tear.

lmao

collect all the quebecois involved in the league and head for quebec

No Luc influence, nope
It's actually something that Luc mentioned in a recent Black & White episode. They didn't want to do these types of ambassadorship games like Australia while they were rebuilding.

I don't know whether or not Luc had an influence on the location being picked. And I have some issues with how he and Blake run this team, but I don't see an issue with being involved with being part of expanding the league influence.

buins and panthers in quebec city

wtf

I'm fine with them trying to expand the fan base in Australia, China, etc, but what do they gain by doing this in Quebec?

It's a special event, and the league is still talking about expanding. Could be trying to gauge the market.

I enjoy the ambassadorship

But painting Quebec as ambassadorship vs. Australia is a generous view

Dubois IS going home.

Can we trade him for a used Michel Goulet mustache comb?

It's Quebec, Canada, where hockey is the national game. The province already has to prevent itself from being burnt to the ground whenever the Canadiens get eliminated in the playoffs. The NHL playing games there has nothing to do with expanding the league influence.

Edit: Whoops, didn't see RJ beat me to pointing this out.

As I mentioned, there have been talks of expanding more. Doing it in Quebec could be for two reasons:
- to genuinely engage the NHL viability now that a couple decades have passed
- to pretend they are testing the viability and shut up the people who want an NHL team in Quebec.

Why the Kings, though?
