If it ends up being Jordan Greenway to LAK I'm deleting my account.

Biggest phony in the league. Hardly hits, goes invisible most of the time, and loses a majority of his fights.

I want Lemieux back but I heard there was issues with him.

Funny that some media say that when Quick loved him and came to his defense at the biting incident with Tkachuk 2.0.

Alright so let's have a look who's left on the market for us:

Alex Tuch *Doubt it*
Jordan Greenway *God no*
Joel Armia *Vomits*
Jakob Chychrun *No*
Mark Kastelic ?
Nic Dowd *Why?*
Matt Martin *Doubt*
Reilly Smith *Redundant*
Marcus Pettersson *Mid as hell*
Tyler Toffoli *Please no*
Mathieu OIivier *YES*
Jon Merrill ?
Jake Middleton *Probably over priced*
Jeremy Lauzon *YES*
Jamie Oleksiak *Seattle likes the D Core too much*
AJ Greer *Injured*
Luke Kunin *Meh*

The Kings can't if all of the injured players are back soon. They'd have to put him on waivers right away to get him to Ontario and they are so tight against the cap that they'll only be able to carry 21-22 players on the NHL roster.
If they claim him they can send him straight to Ontario, because we originally waived him.

You gotta stop being so cryptic with your comments about media members and players you talk to.

I was one of like four people in the room when Quick DID come to his defense at the biting incident.

Losing JAD, Bjornfot, Fagemo to waivers is horrible asset management.

That's a 1st round pick and (2) 2nd round picks - all lost for nothing (obviously we re-claimed Fagemo).

Thanks Blake.
As @Herby has said numerous times, this slow boil approach that BLuc seem to love for the prospects is archaic and has no relevance in the cap era. You play your guys in positions they can succeed in and take advantage of their low cap hit before they get their raises. You don’t bury them in the minors throughout their waiver exempt status until they’re devalued while you also spent to the cap to fill your team with guys making more money. It’s idiotic and infuriating that they haven’t learned a damn thing. Losing 3 guys who once had a lot of value to waivers in 6 months is insane.

Also prevents them from progressing and learning the NHL game.

And for a player like Turcotte, it allows for more AHL goons to take liberties on your noggin.

Funny how some fans and Kings media were calling for Moverare over Englund.

Can you imagine going in with a line-up with our current 4th line (Lewis and Lizotte) and no Englund against Dallas (Benn, Marchment), Edmonton (Carrick, Kane, Nurse, Perry, Desharnais), Colorado (Wood, Manson, Duhaine, Trenin), Vegas (Hague, McNabb, Carrier, Kolesar, Mantha).

FML.

so, losing in 6 instead of in 5?

Doesn't that only apply for a specific (30 days?) time frame that a player spends with his new team?
Fagemo was able to be sent down without waivers because he spent less than 30 days with Nashville?

i dunno what everyone's yappin' about

our trade deadline acquisitions will be: Kempe, Anderson, Arvidsson, Grundstrom, and Copley

just think of the possibilities! :eek3:o_O

Blake should stick to his guns. This team needs a top 9 right shot forward and a top 4 left shot D. The two players that make the most sense are Toffoli and Chycrun.

Each make around $4M+ against the cap. The Kings look to have around $2.6M of cap space available by the TDL. So both players are feasible if retention plus third teams are involved.

Roster wise, losing Kaliyev and Spence is the least impactful move for the short term. Both are solid starting points for Toffoli and Chycrun, respectively.

Ottawa will want a first in any deal. So a late first and Kaliyev should be competitive. I think Spence for Toffoli straight up is fair value. The challenge is finding teams to retain close to $4M.

Blake doing no moves is best imo. I don’t want him to make one good move and then somehow have that player save his job.
Blake needs to be fired one way or another. The Kings are under-performing heavily in general with the talent they have. The GM has to go.

Turcotte - Kopitar - Byfield
Moore - Danault - Kempe
Fiala - PLD - Ardvisson
Lizotte - Lewis - Laffy
Would rather a 4th line of Grundstrom-Lizotte-Laffy but get what you are up to

i mean.. i get your point but englund has fought twice in 3 calendar months

not exactly a deterrent
right, what is Englund preventing. I would rather have moveare

If we deal Kaliyev and Spence as a start for Toffoli Blake should be skidded ASAP.

It is entirely possible that Blake has been instructed to not make any deals that would handcuff his inevitable replacement this offseason.
The PLD trade and contract aren't signed off on unless AEG buys the sell of "this makes us a legit contender". Barring anymore injuries, Blake will have his full roster when 9/33/44 are back, a roster that is basically capped out.

Makes sense that they would tell him to just ride it since the fate of his job is in the team he already constructed.

I’d rather have a Greenway who hits occasionally than a Lizotte who gets blown up frequently. Both guys put up similar points. You should never overvalue a try hard who happened to be a success story on a garbage team from out of nowhere.

All things being equal, I’ll take a big man who likes to hurt people.

Greenways hits/60 is worse than Grundstrom, Englund, JAD, and Sammy Fagemo.

A good comparable is a 7 foot tall Trevor Lewis who consistently gets his ass whooped.

Thanks for checking the stats. For some reason, the only stuff I actually remember seeing was Greenway running over people and Lizotte bouncing right back up after getting crushed.

Do me a favor and find the concussions given and received per 60 and let me know where those guys rank.

I would be surprised if Blake's fired. Ownership was well aware about the cap and bringing in Dubois this year. I think Blake's job is safe until next seasons end result.

Thank you Nashville for finally ending the JAD fetish this front office just couldnt kick. Same team that claimed and released Fagemo. Weird that Blake hasnt traded with them if they like our guys so much.
Bjornfot waived by Vegas so likely he takes the spot tomorrow.
