Agreed. He had great heart, was well liked, and he produces better than most pests or "tough guys", but at the same time he isn't a heavyweight tough guy and literally couldn't help being called for something regardless if he did anything or not. He also was starting to get cold production-wise with us.I liked Lemieux's grit but f*** he took some bad penalties, mainly cuz of the rep he had with the refs.
I am hoping he follows the path of Fagemo. I am sure he doesn't love that, especially after Moverare got signed and dealing with this organization, but there's little downside to getting him back in Ontario and reevaluating him under new management and coaching. So claim Bjornfot, he can go straight to Ontario like Fagemo
the silence is kind of amusing considering the arms race the rest of the west is now locked intoFrom the org talking about themselves like they're world beaters and will challenge for a cup, to having to stay put at the trade deadline because it's obvious to everyone they're pretenders and don't even have the cap flexibility to do anything to patch one of the many holes they have. This season has been a season of night and day differences.
You said it. This has been the most topsy-turvy Jekyll and Hyde season ever. From a world-beating start and on everyone's lips as a contender to straight down and thought to be lost, and then crawling back with significant red flags and wishful optimism. I'd been surprised if confidence was high in the organization right now. If you are to the point of wishing to the hockey gods that PLD will show up as an actual hockey player for the postseason to not only save your season but your job, then you are lost. From the org talking about themselves like they're world beaters and will challenge for a cup, to having to stay put at the trade deadline because it's obvious to everyone they're pretenders and don't even have the cap flexibility to do anything to patch one of the many holes they have. He was just fine in 2020-21 when he played 34 games, impressive even, for a 20 year old.I think much of the flak directed at JAD is him being in the lineup ahead of some other more exciting options. He's a completely fine player, just not a very sexy option.

He just much like almost every Kings player recently not named Byfield, just never got better than that initial stretch of games.
