Claim Toby trade Roy for a first and then trade a 20253rd for maroon. Then roll the dice you can have a goalie get white hot in the first round.

Clarke is dynamic enough to put in the third pairing with Toby. Gavrikov and Spence as second pairing. You’re no worse off with those two bottom pairs of Gavrikov-Roy and Spence-Englund. Especially if you add some nastiness and grit and playoff sense in Maroon. In fact I think you matchup better against Edmonton. You can even play 7 d and throw the knuckle chucker into that bottom pairing rotation. Then just run the top 3 lines in heavy rotation each 18-20 min balanced.

I liked Lemieux's grit but f*** he took some bad penalties, mainly cuz of the rep he had with the refs.
Agreed. He had great heart, was well liked, and he produces better than most pests or "tough guys", but at the same time he isn't a heavyweight tough guy and literally couldn't help being called for something regardless if he did anything or not. He also was starting to get cold production-wise with us.

So claim Bjornfot, he can go straight to Ontario like Fagemo
I am hoping he follows the path of Fagemo. I am sure he doesn't love that, especially after Moverare got signed and dealing with this organization, but there's little downside to getting him back in Ontario and reevaluating him under new management and coaching.

From the org talking about themselves like they're world beaters and will challenge for a cup, to having to stay put at the trade deadline because it's obvious to everyone they're pretenders and don't even have the cap flexibility to do anything to patch one of the many holes they have. This season has been a season of night and day differences.

the silence is kind of amusing considering the arms race the rest of the west is now locked into

ole blakey sitting on his hands repeating his "we're contenders" mantra

You said it. This has been the most topsy-turvy Jekyll and Hyde season ever. From a world-beating start and on everyone's lips as a contender to straight down and thought to be lost, and then crawling back with significant red flags and wishful optimism. I'd been surprised if confidence was high in the organization right now. If you are to the point of wishing to the hockey gods that PLD will show up as an actual hockey player for the postseason to not only save your season but your job, then you are lost.

I think much of the flak directed at JAD is him being in the lineup ahead of some other more exciting options. He's a completely fine player, just not a very sexy option.
He was just fine in 2020-21 when he played 34 games, impressive even, for a 20 year old.
He just much like almost every Kings player recently not named Byfield, just never got better than that initial stretch of games.

Fagemo & JAD to NSH

for future considerations (if you really can't get picks back for your players), it's not that hard Blake

It seemed like he wasn't the same guy after that injury he had early on. I can see why they drafted him with the 106 point season his draft year. But he never could translate that success at this level. Best of luck.
