I would legitimately consider claiming Lemieux. There's no way he's worse than JAD was. Hell, claim Bjornfot too and trade Roy for a 1st+.

I would re-claim Toby and trade a low draft pick for Lemieux or Maroon if Blake is dumpster diving at this point.

The Kings can't if all of the injured players are back soon. They'd have to put him on waivers right away to get him to Ontario and they are so tight against the cap that they'll only be able to carry 21-22 players on the NHL roster.

We'll end up now getting a super redundant left shot forward like Smith or something that does nothing for this team.

If only we could go back to the good old days of 5 months ago when people who supported going into the season with so many holes on the roster were like “He can just fix it at the trade deadline.”

Losing JAD, Bjornfot, Fagemo to waivers is horrible asset management.

That's a 1st round pick and (2) 2nd round picks - all lost for nothing (obviously we re-claimed Fagemo).

I think much of the flak directed at JAD is him being in the lineup ahead of some other more exciting options. He's a completely fine player, just not a very sexy option.

The knocks on JAD are against Hiller. JAD is a nice plug and play (w emphasis on plug) 13th fwd... not a 3rd line option esp when your 8.5m mistake should get some help generating offense.

I'm sure Lizotte will be great at 4C against Edmonton again.

Can you imagine going in with a line-up with our current 4th line (Lewis and Lizotte) and no Englund against Dallas (Benn, Marchment), Edmonton (Carrick, Kane, Nurse, Perry, Desharnais), Colorado (Wood, Manson, Duhaine, Trenin), Vegas (Hague, McNabb, Carrier, Kolesar, Mantha).
