That's the problem with this management group. Doughty needs to be considered as part of that glut with Roy, Anderson, and Gavrikov, but is instead still being treated as a star.
One of those guys needs to be moved on so another puck mover can be added to the group. The clear answer is to move Roy for as much as possible now, promote Clarke, and look for a LHD in the offseason who would push Englund down to the 7th spot.
It could be a puck mover to play with Doughty so Anderson could shift to play with either Spence or Clarke, or a stay at homer if you insist on Doughty playing with Anderson. And it should be a player with term as Gavrikov will be the hot topic this time next year.
