I'd welcome the opportunity to complain about someone new.I'm sure when the next regime takes over you won't complain about them at all.

I like this (edit: except JAD).. its an attempt of dealing with reality vs continue to pretend 80 was your top 6 center.. it does impugn Blake
It's funny because they're built from the net out.I know this is in jest, but it is funny because Blake has stated an admiration for the Predators organizational philosophies.
Having him on wing would take any wind out of any 'i told you so' comments so I dont expect many if this does happen w PLD. Both Kopi and Kempe are slumping, so im not expecting him to lift them up.. If they come out of their slumps he might get some nice secondary assits and the occasional goalsI fear Dubois scoring 7 points in his next 10 games on Kopi’s wing and the usual suspects going “SEE? Blake knew what he was doing, they found the perfect fit for PLD!”
Dubois will absolutely score more playing wing with Kopi and Kempe even if it’s by accident. The point is the same PLDefenders who dismissed anyone who criticized him as “fantasy hockey fans” will be the same ones pointing to his inflated point totals as evidence that hey, maybe Blakey was on to something here.Having him on wing would take any wind out of any 'i told you so' comments so I dont expect many if this does happen w PLD. The point is that Vilardi and co were traded for PLD because they wanted depth at center. Per Blake's own words at the time of the trade:So, if PLD starts scoring, playing with whomever, people shouldn't be pointing that out as saying hey that might be the real player?
Kind of confusing here, unless your total argument is, PLD isn't scoring as a C and that's why it's bad, and If he's scoring on an 80-90 point pace, I give a f*** less if hes playing W, C, D or Rover
“As last year progressed, I think we identified certain needs at the trade deadline and certain needs as we went throughout the season and into the playoffs,” Blake said. “Now, that continues in the summer, trying to add pieces that will improve us, specifically, in the middle of the ice. I think with Todd and the organization we believe in the defense and in the middle of the ice and this gives us a piece up the middle.”
Gotta cool his ass off in the press box first! JAD to the rescue.Put Fagemo in the lineup you cowards.
Kid has been on an absolute tear the past couple of months and is super hungry.
Ahem.I just had a scary thought. We all know TMac has blown playoff series leads before, but what about an entire SEASON? Kings are doing well. All looks good, then wham! They lose 20 straight to end the season and miss the playoffs by a point.
You're welcome.
Pierre Luc Douchebag is a weak ass loserThe trade was a joke when it first was made/announced. The only ones supporting it were either Blake apologists or way overly optimistic people (desperately hoping Blake knew what he was doing). Even posters/fans from other teams laughed at the Kings for the trade & extension by Blake.
There is no surprise with anything PLD related right now. It's playing out exactly how anyone in the real world would think it would -- and will continue to do so. If you are surprised, then you were not paying attention to PLD prior to becoming a King.
so your already pre complaining ?.. haha at least let it happen firstDubois will absolutely score more playing wing with Kopi and Kempe even if it’s by accident. We need to find a way to trade him to MontrealOn nhl radio earlier, bernstien was on discussing "the tire fire in la" as kouleas put it. Bernstien was spouting some wierd stats but agreed thatthe kings are in trouble. More interestingly, the talked about pld and craig button said "id put pld on daneau's wing and if he didnt shape up he'd put him on the pk. And if THAT didnt work hed banish him to the press box. Gabby boudreau said that he tries to find the players achilliles heel but he thought that dealing with pld harshly would make him pout.
It was interesting to hear pld's performance recognized as a problem on north american hockey media.
Imo ya cant make somebody like something and isaw pld dig his heels in and refuse to play when torts tried to motivate him. I think this guy is what he is and blake, luc and bergevevin have saddled us as fan with this malcontent. Id damn sure hate to be in that locker room with him as a teammate
The point is that Vilardi and co were traded for PLD because they wanted depth at center. Per Blake's own words at the time of the trade:
Kings GM Rob Blake with an in-depth breakdown of today's acquisition of Pierre-Luc Dubois - LA Kings Insider
We’ve got a trade and now we’ve got trade reactions. Notes from Pierre-Luc Dobois himself to come next, but starting with Rob Blake’s comments from Nashville. This is of course a trade that had several layers to it, including both the trade itself, with Dubois coming to the Kings, and a package...lakingsinsider.com
So, Blake paid a high price for a position he was aiming to solidify, but now he's not in that position.
Could it turn into a happy accident that he does better on the wing? Sure. But that's not why such a heavy price was paid. And since he's getting outscored by one of the pieces and a second one is just a couple points away, it feels like a waste at this time.
But sure, if he starts scoring at a 90-point pace, that would lessen the sting. But he'd have to score 43 points in the final 40 games to hit that. Right now, he's scoring at a 37-point pace. So he'd have to more than double his season's pace
I said that he would score “more” than his current microscopic totals and you took that to mean he would transform into a 90 point player? So, if PLD starts scoring, playing with whomever, people shouldn't be pointing that out as saying hey that might be the real player?

Even if that were to happen the trade and contract are still a net loss.
Not if he is scoring less than Kempe with that center money contract he got !If Dubois plays well on LW, that's great news.
Sounds good to me.. rip it down like he did the C off his jerseyPoser Looking 4Dollars
Faber with a 3 assist night btw … so if history ends up showing Blake made the wrong move with several impact players do they take the jersey down?
Why do you say this?Vilardi wasn't going to sign here anyways.
