None of the names thrown out there sound great to me. I'm indifferent on Treliving, Tulsky isn't happening, Pridham is too close to Dubas, and Hunter terrifies me.

You shouldn't be indifferent on Treliving. He's awful.

We really don't know what Pridham's style is. He was our cap guy, and did a great job maneuvering around it.

Mark Hunter should not be an option. His drafts were awful, and that was supposed to be his strength.

Eric Tulsky should certainly get an interview. He's been credited with a lot of the work there.

Pasta was coming from two 35 goals and 2 70 point seasons. Up to that point Nylander didn't do jack to earn 7 million contract. William finally got 70+ season 2 years ago. What David did 6 years ago twice

Worth noting Pasta actually only had 1 70 point season before signing his ELC. Along with 2 seasons at less than 30 points. Nylander actually had a higher career ppg by the end of his ELC

He had his run and couldn't get it done it is what it is.

He doesn't generally break sports or exec related news but has previously been the first to leak news about media members being fired or restructuring happening in TSN/Sportsnet etc. He's followed by LeBrun, Bobby Mac, some of the Athletic guys and others I think

Yet it contradicts what CJ said, who we know is connected better than anyone.

I think I'd like to see more sources on this - it doesn't make sense that Dubas would ask to have his salary tripled coming off a single series win in 5 years...

In retrospect I'd say the Leafs drafting during his tenure (what was supposed to be his strength) was poor. Guys like Bracco and Korshkov didn't exactly lead the Leafs to the promised land either

At least Lou/Hunter found Woll. Who has Dubas drafted outside of the 1st rd? Hell Sandin and Amirov were the wrong type of picks even without hindsight

I know the last big move from Treliving was rough considering everything but what makes him so awful? Maybe I'm missing something.
