Well my American friend.. we,are at War with you...Your President slapped a 25%tariff on a whole bunch of CNaian goods we inCanada export to the U S..Canada will be shaping tariffs on a bunch of American imports from the U S to Canada..but also at tge Provo coal lev the Ontario Government has just ordered the LCBO (Liquor Cobtrol Board of Ontario) the largest retailer of wines and spirits in the world (the Ontario Government hasxa monopoly control of the retail distribution of wines and spirits to Ontario consumers...though you also can get wines in grocery stores under license from the LCBO) ,To as of this morning Remove all American wines and spirits from the shelves...

I wonder if this means closing their whole California destination store (they have several single special stores in the Toronto area dedicated to wines from certain countries or regions of different Countries.. So there California wines destination store will have to be shut down..

In their regular stores featuring wines from Ontario, from B.C. and from aroubdctge workd ,tge shelf spaces for Ameficanwobesxand spirits will be bare or re-usex for more wines and spirits of other places
We are at WAR (trade war) with the U.S.

BTW...Ontario and CORIAN consumers buy fR more American wines and spirits than U.S. consumers buy of CNadiN wibes and spirits...so in this area of true U S.now a big LOSER as a rdsukt of tge trade war u.s. tariffs and our response from Ontarioand the rest of CanDa(I exoectvitger provpnces where wines and spirits are government controlled will or already are following Ontario's response.

I still have a few California Cabinet
Sauvignons in my cellar and sone from Washinton State..but will no longer be able to buy amy new ones while this tariffs war started by the U S. goes on.

Trying to make America Great again by beggaribg your neighbour's,Canada and Mexico and reducing all the trade that passes among tgses neighbour's,is not goid for any of tge countries involved...It defies tge very rational for international trade..If America wants to lock its doors and only produce every item it uses domestically then American consumers will lose too via inflated proces for some items ..

It may also effect auto inventories as parts and certain car models are produced in all 3 Nafta countries. under the automobile act section of the Trade Pact..
If the U S tries destroying Canada and Mexico's eco ony ,the neighbour's will find otherctrade partners or trade more woth each other..but in any case consumers inalk 3 nations are going to suffer the consequences.
If tge U S.President is doing this as a bullying tactic to get something he wants in other areas it may work..but until thise usduescresolve the immediate effect willbe a hit to consumers and distribution supply problems.
Ove they Neighbour as thyself...well it seems Americaxwoukdcratger just bullying harm its neighbour's..

I understand the new administration wants tougher border control of drug s lije Fontenot entering the U S...but that is 99% coming in over the US.-mexico bordrr..Onlly 1% of that illegal drug supply originated from Canada..so we Canadians do not understand why t he U.S. is hitting us equally with theircsame 25% tariff onNexico.

If tgecreason iscgk get Canada to spend more than it does omits N A.T.O. obligations..then most Canadians woukd agree we are not carrying our weight on this issue.

However .in our next elections we will have a CNadian Government more amenable to using Defense spending..so why harm us Now when our policies will change underca new Conservative majority Governmrnt?

But anyway my friend.. we apparently are in a war with you.
