People have been interviewing Chiarelli, Nonis, Conroy, Tulsky, Burke, Doan, JFJ, Mark Hunter, Brad Pascall, Scott Nichol, Derek Clancy. No shortage of guys that would like the job.
That looks like a Friday the 13th list to me. Very scary. Outside of a couple of them.

Is it wrong that I’m finding shedding Dubasite posters as a positive for not bringing back Dubas?

The proverbial silver lining, if you will….. of course they will never leave.

They will just nitpick everything done by the incoming GM through their salt-rimmed Dubas goggles….
The cult of personality surrounding him was vomit inducing. At least Stan a proven winner.

$6-7M @ 5 years and total autonomy?

If I'm MLSE I point out that's $35 million for every playoff series he's won. GTHO of here with that nonsense.

With all the assets he's thrown away, having to come back from an 0-3 hole with a rookie in net because half of your tandem starting pair has been injured since 2017 and getting bent over in the 3 of the most consequential contract negotiations he's had to date, bringing in a rookie coach to learn on the job, and on and on it goes.

I'll give him this, he's got some world class nerve even proposing a contract like that, never mind not budging on it. :help::help::help:

"Total autonomy" jumped out at me a lot more than the $ did.

I wonder how much of the push for softness is Shanny overcompensating for concussing guys in his player career, he’s the only one of him Keefe and Dubas that hasn’t talked about wanting more physicality. The closest he’s come that I’m aware of is wanting more killer instinct.

Frank Seravalli talks about this situation. Suggestions about an ongoing power struggle between Shanahan and Dubas, over who had final say on transactions.

Dubas's media boys lining up to pin this on Shanny lol

Pretty obvious 95% of the transactions at least we're him

The only ones I can see otherwise we're the Sandin for a 1st, and the Knies pull back that was rumored

Guessing this was his choice vs. ownership not wanting him back.

Also guessing that Keefe is gone whenever we sign the new GM, who will probably be worse than Dubas.

Burden should be on the playoffs here, not Dubas.
Thats the spirit

If true, there laid out right before our eyes are Dubas' actually priorities: money and power. What I see is Dubas hardballing for money and power. Shanahan offered something that should have been priceless to someone with family concerns: a private jet to limit maximize the time away from the family.
Better

As far as I've been in on this site...you are going to get factions regardless of who is at the helm.

It is learning how to behave and respect one another that I find a sad and difficult task for a lot.

Like I said result wise, Dubas is the best GM since Quinn. Not defending Dubas or start a Dubas is great….bc he is far from it. Dubas underachieved as GM bc he got the most talented roster on paper since 67.
However, if we all think the players couldn’t hack it, then Dubas only downfall was really betting on the wrong horses.
Weak leaders yield weak teams. It's really that simple.
