So could/would the leafs block him from participating in their draft?
Nice, mess this place up and move onRossi on Kyper saying the Pens job is Dubas' job if he wants it. Says it is more like Kyle interviewing the Pens rather than the Pens interviewing him. Good Luck Sid.
Well that is just all kinds of Kevin Bacon.
Hextall and Burke Know .fenway is hands on bigtimeKyper says Fenway group is hands on while MLSEL is hands off. Enjoy Kyle.
Wonder how the wife feels about leaving Toronto for Pittsburgh?
It's something he'll need to talk to the wife first...
Yep, a slimy little twerp. It works in the corporate world though.Murray back to Penguins please.
Lost a lot of respect for Dubas after what he pulled off. “Toronto only”
Nice excuse with the family. Such a loser.
What is interesting to me is .. If this were a court of law,
He knew he had the Pittsburgh job .good luck with there core 4Yep, a slimy little twerp. It works in the corporate world though.
That's why Dubas says his demand of autonomy of decision appears to be "reasonable" to himself (per his public statement yesterday). If you don't give your job to me I can get it somewhere else.Rossi on Kyper saying the Pens job is Dubas' job if he wants it. He left this place a mess, probably didn’t want to make the decisions that needed to be made. So like any weasel does, he makes lame excuses and quits. That's why Dubas says his demand of autonomy of decision appears to be "reasonable" to himself (per his public statement yesterday). He probably had his eyes on the pens' job all along (given his personal relationship with those in the organization, as many have mentioned). The last minute contractual demand is his way of quitting on Toronto, rather than a naive and idiotic negotiating move.
Perhaps even the family narrative is just to justify his decision to leave the "highly pressured" Toronto market place.

Dubas will work with Sullivan and provide more analytics which the FSG wants. He met with Sid last night so he has a good idea what is what. Not the worst move after Hextall killed the Pens last year.
Well thanks to Kyle's scorched earth approach to draft picks dealt away its shouldn't be a problem. Hard to outscoup a team that has very little draft picks. So could/would the leafs block him from participating in their draft?
Certainly is beginning to look very plausible. That's why Dubas says his demand of autonomy of decision appears to be "reasonable" to himself (per his public statement yesterday). If you don't give your job to me I can get it somewhere else.

Kyle Dubas quotes:
“It’s Toronto or nowhere.”
“I couldn’t put my family through that.”
“You won’t see me popping up anywhere else.”
One week later:
if that's 34's stance I say pound sand. always knew he was a entitled diva.............If he wants out and needs to be comfy, or have his special coddling GM, so be it
As we now know it depends on the pay chequeWonder how the wife feels about leaving Toronto for Pittsburgh?
