Why give 7 years to a guy that gets sick? Is management on drugs?
If they are, they should give Kreider some so he doesn't get sick!

It could. It could also mean that they think we're in a different spot in our rebuild.
Too risky. Plus trading him when he was willing to take less to stay probably would have left a bad taste. Look I admit my first preference was to sign him. However if somebody decided to make a monster offer or if Kreider demanded way too much then I would have had no issue trading him. Obviously neither happened which is what I started feeling the last few daysI am withholding my vote until I see the details of the clauses. I posted a bit ago most I wanted to go was 6.5 X 6 with a NMC first 4 years, and a limited NTC the last 2. As long as its not a full no trade clause towards the end I ultimately like it.
Still would have preferred trading him and coming back with a bigger offer in the off-season but there is certainly no guarantee that works out.
If ya like I could send you my underwear. It would appear that you immediately lied.
Very insightful thanks lol7 years and NTC to a 29 year old during a supposed rebuild is f*cking mental. herpa derpa to the max

Not a fan. It's a "discount" in that Kreider would've gotten more as a UFA, but this contract is going to look pretty bad in the last 2-4 years when we're hopefully contending.
On top of that, considering the rental market for guys like Pageau and Toffoli, the Rangers probably passed on significant assets for Kreider that they could've used in the offseason to trade for guys who better fit our window.
Top-6 is going to be sick next year. It's already above-average.Let's assume this is Kreider's peak and he declines beginning next season. This is still a good deal. You have to fill out your roster with UFAs and the Rangers just got one for less than market price. The Rangers also just told the world that they're serious about 2021-2022. Let's go.
In fairness Crypto Guy has calmed down a little. Still doesn’t live the Kreider deal but after the Skjei deals feels better.HEY @The Crypto Guy ... this didnt age well at all...only took 8 days for you to sound like a damn fool...oh wait that was every day over the past 8 days.
Next time, try to be less arrogant and condescending when you know JACK SHIT. Its a bad look my man... #CUTE
@Pawnee Rangers dont worry dude i got your back, im sure you recognize the post

Paying Kreider could mean we lose Zib when his contract is up.Is there a NMC or NTC?
BTW it should be easier to re-sigh Zib with Kreider here, they love each other.
