"Rangers won't let kreider speak to the media"?

Lol what the hell? He could just simply not divolge info about the injury but they just flat out don't let the media talk to him?

They don't want other teams to know when injured key players will be back, that's classified information now when heading into the playoffs ;)

Every day he's on the ice is good news

Gotta make sure his legs are going and up to speed first and foremost. Injecting Kreider back into the lineup will be a serious jolt to the offense in the playoffs.

Give McDonagh the extra 4-5 days to heal before putting him out there. Game one of the playoffs next Wednesday or Thursday. The Rangers need two points to be 2 or 3. The Rangers win any tie break with Columbus. Buffalo is the worst team in the NHL. If the Rangers can't get the 2 points tonight, come on. McDonagh will be playing 25 minutes a game. The time off should help him.

He's tough, having played with the injury twice, but hopefully he won't jump in prematurely.

Tomorrow is 2 weeks since having the surgery. He needed to have the surgery for the hand to heal properly. He skated with 2 gloves today instead of one. Sign of progress.

The rangers also win any tie break against PHI as long as they get 2 pts tonight. (that would be assuming PHI loses at least 1 game remaining)

So they don't win any tie breaker :shakehead

They would win any tie breaker when they don't need the other team to lose a remaining game in regulation

If the Rangers and Philly finish tied in points, the Rangers will either have the advantage in ROW (first tiebreaker) or goal differential (third tiebreaker). The Rangers don't need Philly to lose at all.

Unless Philly wins a game like 35-1.

They "need" philly to lose only if we don't win both our remaining games because then they'd have 97.

Hence i said rangers win tonight and PHI loses.

this makes no sense to the conversation I was having lol:shakehead:help:

All that matters is that they currently have the tiebreaker, and barring something unusual, will keep the tiebreaker. Unusual meaning there are only two scenarios:

1) 2 shoot-out wins by NYR and 3 regulation/OT wins by PHI
2) 1 shoot-out win or 2 loser points by NYR and 2 regualtion/OT wins by PHI, along with Philly gaining 22+ goals in goal differential.

Phi plays TB, Pitt, Car.

Rangers play Buff, Mont.

Buff has checked out. Mont has secured the 2nd position (I believe).

I'm hoping TB or Pitt can beat Phi before we play on Sat.

Mont has secured the 2nd position (I believe).

TB is 3 points behind Montreal with a game in hand (2 left for MTL, 3 for TB). So they don't have 2nd locked up yet but hopefully by Saturday they do. Ironically TB is playing PHI/CBJ on Thursday and Friday, so we want them to win as well. It kind of works in our favor, however, since TB beating PHI/CBJ helps us lock up 2nd by itself.

Worst case scenario is a loss to BUF tonight, TB overtime losses to both PHI and CLB, and MTL losing to NYI tonight. That would make Saturday meaningful for MTL and the possibility of NYR being relegated to a wildcard spot.

And with that, this thread is officially off-topic. How's Kreids doing?

good lord...I expected some Kreider news.

But this one must be the "off-topic" thread of the year :D
