This could be a big deal, though. He left the ice limping apparently. Maybe we should make a new thread for him. Is he for sure to start on Thursday? Call me a worry wart, but without our third line (actual first line) intact, we could suck.

When Miller played with Brass and Poo, the line barely missed a beat. I think Miller transitions fine into the line, if need be.

Relax. We have depth. It's not the end of the world.

Brassard skated with the team this morning. Said he felt 100% and will play tomorrow. Left the ice early to maximize rest time.

We should just merge this into an injury thread. Helps with updates to all players.

Yep, why not just sticky this one and change the title. Most boards have an injury thread, we obviously don't.

Good news about Brassard.

So...it's been what, a month now or so? Not even a time table to come back. Any actualy chance he can come back by round 2?

He's still not holding a stick normally with his left hand when he skates, right? I don't think we'll see him until next year. Hope I'm wrong.

If/when he comes back, Dorsett sits I would think. Carcillo has earned it.

They've both earned it. Dorsett is more prone to take stupid penalties. Carcillo is more prone to coast when he's playing well, thus making him ineffective.

In all fairness, Dorsett's penalty last night should not have been a penalty. Although neither should Carcillo's. Both are playing well.

Not basing it off of last night. In general, from what I've seen this year, Dorsett takes stupider penalties. Carcillo tip toes with invisibility after a string of 4-5 good games. I wouldn't mind either of them in it, to be honest.

One of them will sit - thats just the reality of the situation

I have a suspicion that they'll play a lot more than we think. Injuries happen frequently this time of season. Neither will be scratched for too long, I think.

But what they provided last night was great. I saw a tweet from a Flyers fan last night that read:

"If Dorsett and Carcillo were in a burning building and you could only save one, how many beers would you have watching the building burn down?"

They're under the fans' skin, and i'm sure they're under the Flyers players' skin. It certainly helps.

IF everyone stays healthy when Kreider returns it would be interesting to see of AV puts him back with Stepan-Nash (Nash goes back to his natural wing) and MSL moves back with Richards-Hagelin, or he keeps Stepan line as is and Kreider slides in with Richards. The wing speed of this line against other teams lower lines could be very advantagious.

I would think it's the Richards line he joins

Kreider's game allows him to jump in on any line imo. Fast, big, physical. He get in on the forecheck and smother defenders quickly. In fact, its very similar to Hagelin but bigger and more physical. He fits the Richards line real well. Not to mention we are not messing with a line that is working for us

Against the Flyers anyway Carcillo seems an extremely motivated player--as in he doesn't seem to like his former team or even maybe some of his former teammates. That's great as long as he doesn't get stupid about it. IMO the penalties handed out to him last night by the refs were the two goofiest by the on ice officials all night. Voracek should have definitely been given more than Hagelin--he was the one that started the whole thing--he dropped his gloves at least a couple seconds before Haglein. He's the only one that threw any real punches and he threw several. The other call against Carcillo was just horse ****.

I wonder if they made it a minor because they didn't want to give Hagelin a misconduct for the jersey strap, though.
