Lets not forget we dont know the FULL REAL story. It’s silly to think whatever brooks said is that…

I know this has become a pattern. This is twice now. Do we know every minuscule detail? No. Is this clearly immature behavior? Yes. I was going to say, where there’s smoke there’s fire but this isn’t even smoke... it’s a half burned down house.

Off the top of my head, Goodrow at 3LW and drop Blais down (even though it should be the other way around IMO). Eventually Kreiders gonna have to move back to LW. Would like to see KK up there with Mika. Point is, things are fluid. The lines we see today won't be the lines we see in a month.

And idk how anyone can say VK was beat out for his spot. If there was definitive evidence that that was the case, we the fans weren't privy to it. He was good enough to play 20 games last year. He was good enough to miss development camp and be considered a roster player. He was good enough in the pre season games. When was he clearly beat out for a spot? At practice when we weren't looking? Everyones entitled to their opinion, but I can't agree with that.

Seems like he doesn't wanna be a Ranger, so use him as a 13th forward and showcase him until you can make a trade. Beats the alternative.

Showcase a 13th forward? Just give him a roster spot? How long until he starts complaining that he’s not in the top 6 or on the PP?

What message does this send to the rest of the organization?

A. He’s special and your not.

or

B. If you act petulant then we’ll give in and give you what you want.

This isn’t teamwork or “all pulling in one direction.” This is a kid looking for special treatment over grown men who’ve fought and earned it.

Does no one in here have any military or para-military experience. You can’t have that on a team or in a locker room.

When nine players clearly claimed spots above him. Hunt and Gauthier being #12 and #13 are irrelevant. He was never going to beat out Goodrow, who just got a 6 year deal and he didn’t beat out Blais, plain and simple. At that point he’s playing less than 10 min on the 4th line with Reaves and Rooney. The Rangers felt he’d be better off playing top minutes in the AHL and getting call ups. His ego couldn’t accept that. I’m sorry if I have no sympathy for that. Frankly, I’d rather have Barron on the roster than Kravtsov, but luckily Barron is okay with paying his dues and being patient. Kravtsov could have been a top nine/six forward by January 1 if he’d shown an ounce of maturity and patience. Frankly, I’m not that convinced that, given the same minutes and linemates, Kravtsov is anymore effective than Gauthier. What’s their difference in draft pedigree? 6 spots? People are acting like this is young Malkin demanding a trade. This isn’t even PLD demanding a trade. This is just a brat who may have some NHL upside. I’d bet my horse right now that Krav doesn’t have the mental makeup to be a significant threat in this league regardless of his talent level. Think Zherdev, Burmistrov, Galchenyuk, etc.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that one of the main reasons he was sent down was due to the fact that he was exempt from waivers.

That was the obvious conclusion at the time, but the quotes from the team and what the beat writers are reporting have subsequently indicated that wasn't the case, and that the team legitimately felt he'd benefit from going down. It's hard to believe the waivers situation didn't play some role, but it also doesn't sound like that was the driving factor.

I also read (no way to know if true or not) that his conditioning wasn’t up to par following his injury. If that’s the case, then go down and work. If the 21 year old has to only make - whatever, 70k or 80k, for a month or two before being promoted then so be it. I can think of a lot worse scenarios in this world.

Under no circumstances should the Rangers invite him back straight to the NHL. What message does that send to Jones, Schneider and Barron? To Miller, who may well get sent down for seasoning at some point?

100%

I’m surprised at how many think differently. Especially after the locker room turmoil last season, and the clear attempt at a culture change this year.

It really is a shame. Kravs is a heck of a talent. Reality is we will get the shaft on this. He's considered a project because of all of this. We'll never get full value for him.

Disagree. Asset management.

Would rather not have this be TDA Part II.
If you get him back let him RW on the top line while K2 is out. Showcase him, then if you feel he’s still immature, trade him at a greater value than he returns now.

Weird anti-authoritarian streak regardless of who the authority is and what they have or haven't done to deserve it. Rage against that machine, as long as the victim is under 23 and/or on an ELC. If they are 29 or they have a large contract, f*** them. (????)

Also some posters (note: not Jovo, Jovo has transcended) are being bizarre white knight moms about their sweet boy Vital Cravicculae

Asset management is, if not the bottom of the list, near the bottom of the list of things management care about. Outside of very short periods of extremely obvious rebuilds. And even then.

If the team legitimately had concerns about his condition and also believed he needed to work on his game in general, so much so that they felt sending him to Hartford was a worthwhile gamble, it seems unlikely to me that they'd just put all that (and his subsequent reaction) aside and drop him on the top line. Even with the intention of "showcasing" him. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really don't see it--or think it's a good idea.

I want him on this team, the kid has talent, but I agree he can't be brought back unless he spends some time in Hartford. It would set a bad precedent for the younger guys who have played well and been sent down. Maybe a 2 week conditioning stint or something like that. I don't think he will ever report to the AHL though.

Chelyabinsk. Today.

Alot of this has to do with assumptions you're making, which is fair because thats pretty much all we can do without knowing details. But their are assumptions to be made that he wasn't given a fair chance despite you wanting the kid to walk up-hill in the snow to practice both ways because "that's the way it has to be".

Since leaving the first time he has done everything that was asked of him, he was all but promised a spot this year and then got shafted. If he feels betrayed by the FO, I can understand why. It's not apples to apples, you can't compare his situation to all rookies trying to make camp. For all you know his teammates think so to. You can't let assumptions drive a narrative.

And as far as sending the message that "he's special and your not", you mean like they did with Kakko to Kravtsov in his first year? How is that fair? It's not, but it happens every year across the league like it or not.

I feel like all these points are being repeated from both sides of the argument, so I don't really wanna keep talking circles. However that's usually a sign that things could of been handled better by both sides, and fwiw one side is an emotional kid and the other is a pro sports gm who is supposed to be tasked with knowing better.

Wasn't it reported that he would go to the AHL if he was traded to another team?

Brett Gretzky, maybe. Sorry. Krav is going to follow in the footsteps of talented guys who didn’t have the patience or ethic to make it work.

and this Rangers hierarchy team will likely follow in the steps of those who didn’t have the patience or brains to build a winner. One cup in 80 years isn’t by accident.

His agent telling him “So Drury says he f***ed up”
This is the same asshole that pushed a little kid. He’s an entitled little bitch who you’ve become obsessed with.

He had a golden chance to earn a spot with the team and he didn’t take advantage of it. 95% of the adults here recognize that shit.

You’re quickly becoming one of the worst posters on this board.
