Meh, he chose this path. He knew what he was getting into by re-signing in Pittsburgh.
After winning the Four Nations I think he's happy to ride off into the sunset putting up points, playing for Team Canada at the 2026 Olympics and likely calling it a career in 2027.
Yesterday's trade has me checking this place every 15ish minutes. Feel like a burnt out crackhead looking for his next fix.

I think it's just the way his face is so expressive. I don't know a single person who doesn't like Zadorov. I know tons that don't want him on their team.... but they all would love to catch a game, split a pizza and drink some beers with the dude.
I know nothing about the guy. But I happen to believe that his face has a certain amount of "innocence" about it, that belies what might be a really fun night on the town. Maybe not as crazy as partying with Nuke... but I'm pretty sure I'd have plenty of laughs with Big Z.
Sucks... but that might be his last game in the NHL. He just showed up his HC, who wanted "one" goal more than anything else left on the bucket list.
Just kidding.... If I remember Varly took a record from Roy (most wins in a season with 41) and he was okay with it. Oh wait... Varly went from 41 wins to 28 > 27 > 6 > 24 > 20. Turns out maybe Roy wasn't okay with it and Tonya Harding'd him behind closed doors.
THe idea of joint custody and them swapping back and forth every season until both their contracts are over sounds like such a 1982 solution.

I'll be honest, I'm getting vibes of CMac handing the team a retained Eller and saying f*** off for the remainder of the season, here.
It's just too hard for a GM to fight both the holes in his roster and a HC who refuses to to use the tools handed him. There is a major disconnect and I'd rather not see us lose any more assets until something a little more permanent is done about the apparent difference in vision between the GM and HC.
