I highly doubt it"If he did so, he'd be back up quickly"
If this was truly explained to him, then I guess it IS all on him.
Very disappointing either way.

Okay. EdJo alternates making me laugh with intentional and unintentional comedy.
I found that pizza post pretty funny.
And then I picture you monitoring Krav’s heartrate after a shift by some arcane means. Haha. I mean come on, how do you know how elevated his pulse is after a shift. Hahaha.
It sounds like a totally reasonable ask to work on conditioning after an injury. And even if the underlying reason was to not have to waive someone while you seek a deal, that’s REASONABLE too. It’s a team sport and part of being an NHLer is being a good team player.
I highly doubt it
Kravtsov deserves all the blame he gets for his attitude and his behavior.
The Rangers deserve all the blame they get for poorly managing the situation and putting themselves in this situation, again...and again...and again.
The phrase "no one wins in this situation" should not be something we have to roll with every 9 months or so.
Well this sums it up nicely.More evidence that the kid has an entitlement issue. That's on him and nobody else.
The Rangers knowing he has an entitlement issue and not being prepared for him to throw a tantrum, that's on them.
Players lie their asses off all the time. I never take a players word for shit.Lias said it in a Swedish interview(again this was months ago so if I’m remembering it incorrectly i’ll admit i’m wrong), so i tend to believe stuff like that from the players themselves more than a beat reporter who is known to BS for clicks. That’s all.
Of course you do because it doesn’t fit the narrative your pushing lol.I highly doubt it
maybe they are trying to teach him a lesson? Especially if they cant find a good trade.![]()
I really don't know how telling Kravtsov "you got injured, so we want you to spend a short conditioning stint in the AHL while you recover and we'll bring you back once you're good to go" can be construed as "poorly managing the situation".
are you hearing any talk of a possible move?Putting yourself in situations with volatile personalities, where this is a distinct possibility, is not good management.
Kravtsov's reaction is poor. But it is also predictable based on his past behavior.
Knowing the struggles you have to this point, you do one of two things.
You either move on, so that it's a non-factor.
Or you accept it for the combustible element it is and you proceed accordingly.
Waiting for the situation to fulfill its high-probability of combusting, after you've already already had explosions with this player (and two others), is not a prudent move.
Again, NONE of this is uncharted territory.

Outside of trading him this summer, I'm not sure what they were supposed to do when camp ended. Whether he was ready for top 6 minutes or not is debatable, but apparently Gallant and Drury felt he wasn't. Do you keep him around just to appease him? Do you play him against your better judgement? Would playing on the third line have been enough for him? I don't know, do you hope the kid matured a bit?
As an aside, these young players today are just a different breed. I was told a few years ago that when Laine was still with Winnipeg management was concerned about his video game habit (could be something else, not sure if I remember that part correctly) and they wanted to address it with him. But they could not talk to him directly, they had to go through his agent. The coach and GM were not allowed to speak to him. I have no idea if Kravtsov is like this or not, but it's a crazy new world these days.
Is there a possibility he ever plays for the Rangers/Hartford again? And is one of those Western teams Vancouver?Only rumors of teams that have expressed interest in the past. All western teams at this point.
