It’s pretty obvious he would say he would be willing to play in the ahl now for any team. His agent pretty much told him that is exactly what you have to say. What other team would want to deal with him otherwise

Hate to say it but I think his best shot is NJ or the Islanders. NJ I'm sure we could find a fair swap. The Isles could use high end potential but not sure what they could give in return.

Well his agent should have told him to report to Hartford while the trade is worked on in the first place, and either he didn't or it was ignored, so common sense winning out in this case should be celebrated.

The good thing is most GMs will believe this is a Rangers organizational issue. Andersson and now Vitali. Perception wise, we are benefitting from our previous mess ups. This is a player 20 teams will want based on all encompassing evaluations. No contract or cap considerations and is committed to NA even AHL if the fit is right. Drury will be able to find a good dance partner. This isn't during the summer for an established big AAV player that always see pennies on the dollar like Nash was years ago, Tarasenko and Kessel were that caused stalemates. We will be able to trade him out west or out of the division and get a good return.

Then why in the hell is Reaves playing opening night? He didn't even get a game in coming off his injury. They are just throwing him out there off his horrendous looking injury.
I don't think I really need to explain the difference between the expectations for a 4th line enforcer versus a young skilled player, do I?

The only thing I can think of is that he and his team determined that it would be beneficial to kind of plant their flag by not reporting to Hartford as that then established that the Rangers had to move him. It could maybe increase the urgency of the situation. I don't know. That's the only way it makes sense to me.

I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for the kid. He got a mulligan last time because he was a young kid in a different country and seemed to get overwhelmed. This is take two, and he's STILL pulling the diva routine.

Nobody believes that Kreider is a long-term solution at 1RW. All Krav had to do was bust his ass for a few weeks and come back up to bump Kreids down to 3LW (where they obviously penciled him in before camp opened). Not only is this diva act unprofessional, but it is also short sighted. He wants to BE a top six player more than he wants to PLAY like a top-six player.

Someone needs to take this kid aside and help him realize that he's not more special than everyone else in the league. If he doesn't figure that out, I don't see him doing anything other than bouncing around the league during a short NHL career.

I’m sure his agent is controlling the narrative now but says something that he doesn’t want anything to do with the team now

So, I don't think Krav should have refused to go to Hartford.

But with all the mixed messages this team has sent him, with the implication he has a roster spot, with guys who played worse than him in preseason making the roster, I have no doubt he was upset and felt greatly disrespected. And frankly, ruining your relationship at the expense of a top prospect, because you don't want to waive a player like Hajek, who shouldn't be in the AHL let alone NHL, is a huge disrespect.

I don't think Krav was great in preseason, but certainly, guys like Miller and Hajek were worse, and I don't exactly think Gauthier was better. Even Laf I would say had a so-so preseason. And Trouba. But obviously, they'd never send Laf to Hartford and Trouba has a spot regardless. But there is a bit of hypocrisy and double standard in regard to Krav IMO, which again, probably upset him a great deal.

I have a feeling the only winners of this saga will be Krav and the team he ends up on. In the right spot he could get top 6 minutes early and I would not be shocked if he offensively outperformed both Laf and Kakko this season or in the future. And if either Laf or Kakko end up not reaching their potential, without Kravtsov as a 3rd piece, this team is screwed for a decade.

Not happy with Kravs refusal, but I see this mostly as an upper management problem and terrible asset management, which I think we have seen from Drury so far to a worrying degree. There's not one move Drury has made so far, in the draft or in terms of transactions, where I said "that's a great move". I like the Goodrow and Reeves acquisitions, but I would say they are just good and not great moves. And this fear of Tom Wilson and obsession with gritty depth players at the expense of talent is going to hurt the team in the long run. Yea, we needed some more physicality, but that seriously seems like the only thing they are interested in right now.

Good. He can eventually agree to play for Hartford or chill.
As much as I would like them to come to terms, this isn't the first go round. There is bad blood and it might be too much to overcome. I can't be optimistic. I'm not even sure his teammates can forgive his actions. He handled this badly. But so did the organization.

Large periods at a time? Like when lol
I could literally slice up a video if people are really that blind to prove he was the first man on the backcheck nearly every single shift, usually even before the second dman. He is better both offensively and defensively than any of those scrubs who made it over him. He’s also one of the only great skaters on our team. Only good left shot one timer. He has so many attributes that we sorely need
Look, he’s definitely a good player and will likely be a great one in a year or two. He’s nhl-capable as we all know.

But he’s trying to make a team with a stacked, very solid top 6 at this point. So you have to ask - is he better off playing a bottom 6 role, or is he better off playing on hartford’s top line where he could get more minutes per game?

I don’t think rangers were wrong to say “Hartford” in this case, especially coming after a year where our top two prospects, Kakko and Laf sat on the bench in too many 3rd periods when we were down a goal. Everyone complained they didn’t get enough ice time.

Yeah, Lou and Barry will be beating the door down to get a guy who demands a trade when he doesn’t make the NHL roster. That won’t fly on the Island.

I stopped reading after the bold horseshit.

With Dylan Strome sitting out, I am seriously wondering if they are talking to Chicago right now to send Kravtsov for Strome in some sort of deal.

a) We have Dylan's brother Ryan.
b) We could definitely use another top 9 center.
c) This would allow Chytil to move to the wing, or Ryan to play on the wing with Dylan.

And I don't know how I would feel about this if so. I am not a huge fan of Dylan. I don't think he's anything more than a 3rd line center really. He's pretty slow and hasn't met his theoretical potential. And honestly, Kravtsov has a much higher upside and this is not a trade that would even be considered if this nonsense didn't occur. And the Hawks could absolutely use Kravtsov. Think he would slide into the top 9 pretty quickly.

I just don't think Strome is good enough but I see it happening. Another Drury move that doesn't excite me.

And the fact that he's willing to play in the AHL for other teams, just implicates the organization even more in this debacle. We don't know what went on behind the scenes, but I think the disrespect could be way worse than we are even hearing. And the more this goes on, the less I see Krav as the "bad guy".

"Horseshit" eh?

Cool, so you're an ignorant fool.

If you don't think they sent him mixed messages, handled this terribly and gave guys roster spots who performed worse in preseason or at least not better than him, then that's the only plausible response.

Next.

There is NO ~ I ~ in TEAM ! He has much growing up ahead of him . Let's face it...most of the time they never change . Let somebody else deal with the problem child . Send him to Vancouver or Winnipeg . Somewhere miserable .
