It does feel like there's more this than meets the eye. I mean I think everyone, upon hearing Kravtsov would be sent down, had some amount of fear over "is he gonna run?" Surely the Rangers had considered it as well. Just seems like none of this was totally unforeseen and that something else was going on that made the Rangers okay with going this route.
I said he thinks he doesnt have a future here.
Shame he couldn't do anything to force his way into that gaping hole.
Good opportunity to lead the league in Stromes
Entire scouting group needs to be evaluated and heads need to roll.
I can only handle one lazy Strome, two would be torture lolGood opportunity to lead the league in Stromes
Lias did the same thing. Is it entitlement or how we manage these kids? Or is it the type of players we draft? Which would also concerning because this organization puts so much emphasis on drafting "players with character."Request a trade? Yes. Refuse assignment? I think that’s much less common.
Kravtsov has a lot to learn. ALOT. We did a horrible job drafting two extremely thin skinned entitled brats
You can't allow players to dictate your moves because you think they're gonna be upset.
Definitely a possibility. Not attending the bonding thing seemed strange. I wondered if there was more to it, but everything else I saw seemed to indicate they were still bullish on the kid and expecting him to be a part of things moving forward, so I kind of just let it go.I brought up several times why (even though he was injured) he was held back from the bonding trip. If Kakko or Laffy had a dtd injury would they have stayed home for such an important trip?
Doubtful.
Something was up and I think both parties saw it coming.
Watched almost every game he played for Traktor and he was improving but by no means was he a lock to be a top 6 guy in the NHL.
I just don't get it. Are we the only team that is having issues with these kids not wanting to go to Hartford? Is it the NYC thing? They feel they are entitled to come here and just grab a top line spot?
Why not just go to Hartford for 2 weeks and rip it up if you're that good? I am sure he would be back in the lineup with no doubt.
I think the team probably needs to do a better job of setting expectations, but also drafting players with more reasonable expectations for themselves.Surely you must admit there is something fishy about this happening with two players.
Can you imagine if none of Miller or Nils pan out. That would be 4 out of 5 first round busts. And not saying 5 of 5 because I think Fil has handled his time here like a mature player and has lived up to being picked 21st and moreEntire scouting group needs to be evaluated and heads need to roll.
We are not on Hunt, he is a slightly better version of McKegg
Agree but would have been better if handled it with some maturity but I guess that would be too much to ask for.Thats on him, not the team. It is what it is. Glad it happened honestly. Move on.
I never felt he was a huge cog in the rebuild anyway. It was going to be a cherry on top if he panned out.
Yeah honestly I'm looking at this with some concern and notice the "trend" of two guys who played in the top pro league when drafted and who have been extremely unhappy about the idea of not being given a NHL spot.
Could be the Rangers are over promising stuff to them to get them to come over and that's playing a big role, and if so then that needs to be fixed.
The other side is that those drafts and "development" were the old regime, so we'll see what goes on going forward.
But again, you can't let a guy who has proven nothing hold your roster hostage
