For what it’s worth, I defended Kravtsov’s right to exercise his Euro Out Clause last time (even though I worried what it might indicate about his commitment to the organization).
I can’t get on board with Kravtsov this time. I don’t care if he feels misled. He did not have a good camp by his own standards. At best, he beat out the fourth liners and the spare forward. There was no spot for him to get important minutes with the Rangers and his development was best served playing important minutes in the AHL until the first injury (which happened within two weeks of camp). He does not have a Euro Out Clause this time. Yet he took his ball and went home, in breach of contract.
