For what it’s worth, I defended Kravtsov’s right to exercise his Euro Out Clause last time (even though I worried what it might indicate about his commitment to the organization).

I can’t get on board with Kravtsov this time. I don’t care if he feels misled. He did not have a good camp by his own standards. At best, he beat out the fourth liners and the spare forward. There was no spot for him to get important minutes with the Rangers and his development was best served playing important minutes in the AHL until the first injury (which happened within two weeks of camp). He does not have a Euro Out Clause this time. Yet he took his ball and went home, in breach of contract.

Man you guys must have different seats than I. How many fourth lines did we roll against Calgary and Ottawa lol.

Tinordi, Hunt, Reaves, McKegg? This is like a 2007 Brian Burke team. Junk. You win with talent like Jones, Buch, Krav, Barron who are all elsewhere.

Ok, so Buch was traded for one of the only guys who is producing in all ways and Krav left the team. This wasn’t a decision the Rangers made.

Barron played the other night and it’s obvious he isn’t ready. Nils isn’t a talent but Jones is?

Maybe they had two fourth lines because 1/3 of their top six was out. Not sure I follow

We had those guys last season and did not win. We still have 2 of the 4.

You can make sense like this all you want but some folks here will still not get it. Kravtsov is gone because Kravtsov wants to be gone. He's in breach of contract. Period.

Brian Burke won the Stanley Cup in 2007.

lol other than the fact that the team Burke GM'd for in 2007 won the cup, Tinordi played one game, Reaves has been extremely effective and Hunt is the exact type of player that the most recent Stanley Cup champions had like 4 of on the roster.

I just love the poetic justice right now for this moron.
He refuses to go to the AHL because he wants top6/9 minutes with an NHL team.
8 days later, strome/kakko are out of the line up and he would have been playing top 6 minutes most likely with panarin and chytil.
Instead, he runs back to Russia again, and it looks like Drury is in no rush to deal him. So it looks like he might not play AHL/nhl hockey this year at all.
Instead of reporting to the A for 2 weeks tops to get top 6 mins, he publicly request a trade.
No only did that back fire, now he gets no minutes. What a schmuck.
That’s what I call Karma’s big Di*k slapping him right across the face

Tinordi hasn't played since game 1 and McKegg didn't play against Calgary.

Hunt and Reaves have been effective parts of the 4th line which has been one of the effective lines for us so far this season.

Not sure what point you think you're making here.

Hunts ppg last year was .3
Kravstov’s was .2
McKegg’s was .2 (only 5 games played)
Reaves was .13

2019-2020 in the AHL:
Hunt scored .82ppg
Kravstov had .38

For all his talent, Kravstov was outproduced by Hunt and produced similar to McKegg. He’s not some sure thing NHL scorer.

You can shit on Kravtsov as much as you like, but we're holding an asset with falling value and we're not selling it ...

This is all-around a shitty situation.
At this point I can care less. I’m chalking it up as the same as a draft bust. He’s never going to play, so he’ll never help the rangers.
He lowered his value running back to Russia the first time and getting demoted, his value hasn’t recovered.
And now he lowered it even further with his public trade request.
He is basically McIrath to me right now.
If we get something of value back prospect/draft pick? Great. I’ll count it as found money.
I’m not saying Kravtsov is a bad prospect, or will even be a bad NHL player. But the serious of choices he’s made to go down this road are just plain dumb, and I could care less if I ever see him play.
He feels he got a raw deal here and wants to be traded. Ok.
Have his decisions he’s made help drury facilitate the ASAP?
Did the things he’s said and done make it easy for Drury to get fair value back for him? Or Harder?
Does he even. Really care about playing hockey this year at all???
I’m not saying kravtsov is 100% to blame about what transpired. He is however 100% to blame for acting like a spoiled little rich brat who runs away when adversity serves him up a big bite of a shit sand which.
Twice now, he thought he was too good for the AHL because he was drafted top 10.
Twice now, he’s thought he’s better then he is/performed in camp.
If he decided to act like a man instead of a spoiled kid, he would have reported to Hartford for a month or 2, kept his trade request in house, and continued to make his game better and make him a more attractive asset for whatever team is trading for him..
If there was no movement by thanksgiving, then you have your agent start leaking things to the press.
You don’t take the Nuclear option right away and fail to report. That just makes it harder for you to get what you want.
But what does he care right? He’s rich, he won’t go hungry, or have to work for a living.
I’m not mad at krav cause he wants out or thought he was screwed. I’m mad because he’s acting like a little tw*t.
His actions are making it harder to facilitate his request.
The icing on the cake is he’s have top 6 mins with 1 of the best players in the world due to injuries, if he just acted like a man.
Don’t do Drury any favors, do it for yourself. Make yourself a piece other teams value and want to trade for. Not maybe throw a 2nd rd pick at on a gamble. Make other teams say, I need this kid....

I'll take a slightly worse draft pick over the horrible precedent that will be set if we give in to this punks demands. Dude has no leverage, none. Drury is doing the right thing

I agree that's it's a bad situation, but let's not make it even worse. Let's face it, we were never going to get a first round pick for him, even before this shit show. It's really a matter of 2nd vs 3rd right now. Given our track record picking on those rounds, there isn't a difference

$925K contract, is getting $0 and isn’t an UFA until 2027.

Really?
Only gets to UFA in 27 if he reports...as it stands now because he refuses to report the clock on his contract status stops....not a smart move on his part ... Vitali takes the blame on this like its been said in another post he should have reported and kept his trade request "in house" instead he is acting like a big VAG ...so I guess we can start calling him ....Vitali KraVAGsov

Wasn't Steve Y interested in Kravy?

See if we can work out a trade of scenery deal with Zadina who also isn't living up to his billing, same draft class. They were picked what 3 spaces apart from each other with Zadina falling and Kravstov rising.

We need RW.

I dont see the cost to aquire being an unreasonable add-on.

Could work out for both clubs.
