Confirmed with Link: Kravtsov requests trade

Drury has been getting shit on for every single thing he's done other than hiring Gallant and signing Lindgren, and even then people say he just made the obvious choice on Gallant and that clearly Gorton had negotiated the Lindgren deal. Why do you think people would suddenly feel the need to come to the guy's defense when most of the board seems to loathe him? That doesn't add up.

I think what more likely is that even if people liked what Kravtsov did last year, and even if they think he should have made the team, but still think Kravtsov is acting like a shithead. I know you pick a side and roll with it for eternity, but it doesn't have to be that way. "My guy" has f***ed up plenty of times in my life and it's okay to acknowledge it.

So they liked what Kravtsov did last year but now they're saying he sucked because he was a shithead? That's the thing I have the problem with, you'll notice in the post your responding too and in the majority of my posts; the thing I take issue with is the revisionist history where people are claiming he always sucked and didn't look good in those 20 games. If you read threads at the time it's comical that people are now trying to rewrite history.

So yea I take issue with people now saying he sucks as a player, much more than I take issue with them critiquing his character and the choices he's made here. I barely take issue with people critiquing his character, I of all people probably wish the most badly that he did report to Hartford and play here! He's my favorite player, I don't want him sitting in Russia and wanting out. I do NOT think he's above criticism and here is a post I made the other time he got sent down..

"Being that close to achieving my wildest dreams I wouldn’t pack up and go home when encountered with the slightest bit of adversity, especially considering if he played well in the AHL he very well could’ve been in the NHL by now. I don’t think his age is really an excuse, I think the majority of 19 year olds would stay if they were that close to achieving everything they’ve wanted in life. He was also pouting around like a baby in the AHL and looked miserable, and then complains about his time here (even about his teammates joking around and that he asked them not to joke around about him LOL) in Russian interviews. I sure hope he pans out, prior to the draft I posted I wanted them to take Kravtsov, Miller & Lundkvist lol"

Some people disagreed with me and thought I was being harsh. I don't think he deserved to be sent down that time either, he had a way better camp than Kakko but missed the team due to Kakko's draft pedigree. But when this happens time and time again, and with the reports of stuff with Drury; I think Drury has a personal dislike for this kid and he was not given a fair shake here. So I understand Kravtsov being pissed at this organization

Well, IDK, I haven't taken the time to go read old GDTs and compare what people said over Kravtsov's 20 games to what those same posters are saying now. I guess I will have to take you at your word on that. I'm not sure it really changes any of the dynamics of the situation but whatever.

It's possible for people to have been impressed with Kravtsov at the end of last season and also think he shares a large portion of the blame for how this turned out this season.

He was good and showed glimpses at the end of last season but with a new coach AND new management he needed to come in and definitively win his spot - not point to his performance last season, which was good but not amazing, as a reason he should be cemented in the lineup. There is NOTHING wrong with a 21 year old who has played 20 nhl games to this point and experienced an injury in training camp being assigned to the AHL to start the season. It happens to tons of prospects across the league every season.

Kravtsov handled what went on this season exceptionally poorly. People liking his play last season doesn't make them hypocrites for inverse opinions about him this season.

Kravtsov also looked better with Kevin Rooney than he did with our skill players, so the Brooksy line about wanting a top six spot was well-calibrated to piss people off whether it's true, or state media or whatever

So continue.... He is pissed off at the org so what do you do?

You go to Hartford, play your balls off, and tell your agent to tell Drury, that you think he's a dick and you want out ASAP.
Honor your contract, be a professional, and ( if he's the super prospect you think he is) light the Rangers up for years to come as his ( and your) final and grand FU to Chris Dr. Evil Drury.

Why has this become all about Drury? Did Krav have issues before Drury took over? Did Gallant have major input in choose who made his team?

Because it has become an issue with that specific poster. With whom I'm addressing his specific problem with the GM. Not the coach.

Its about Drury because Drury made the situation. Drury personally chewed the kid out in the bubble when he missed his sister's wedding to be there. Drury was GM of Hartford when kids like VK bounced. Drury chose Gaut and Hajek over Krav this training camp (GG said so!). Drury spun one of the most talented (but underachieving) rosters into replacement level crap in just three short months with very little to show for it.

Ego. No brains.

Which would make a helluva lot of sense and accentuate the fact that if he "doesnt get what he wants", NOR "is told what he wants to hear"............then I don't need you. You're fired, I will get another agent that will kiss my ass, tell me what i want to hear and get me what I want. ME, ME, ME.

Does he have a Father? A Grandfather to help get him to where he was 6 months ago? Someone he will listen to?

Most talented rosters? Who are all these most talented guys we gave up?
You are what you are. We were a team that was not good enough to make the playoffs.

If Pavel Buchnevich was the one thing separating “one of the most talented rosters” from being “replacement level crap” then I think something else was rotten on that super roster in the first place. Unless you want to argue that we are desperately missing the talent of Brett Howden and Colin Blackwell right now.

Man you guys must have different seats than I. How many fourth lines did we roll against Calgary and Ottawa lol.

Tinordi, Hunt, Reaves, McKegg? This is like a 2007 Brian Burke team. Junk. You win with talent like Jones, Buch, Krav, Barron who are all elsewhere.

nightlife - would think Ny would be perfect. Miami is great yet Tampa is boring. Imo, Vegas gets old but that’s just me.
