Confirmed with Link: Kravtsov requests trade

He is entitled to his personal opinion about his professional career and is under no obligation to suck it up and do shit he doesn't want to because "it's always been done that way". He doesn't like the situation, this is how he gets out of it, same as lots of other players in the past and lots more in the future. This is really not a big deal.

As long as he sleeps well at night, good for him. In an alternate world he's best friends with Buchnevich and a couple of budding C prospects as the Rangers don't win the lottery twice and draft wingers ahead of him. What ifs and such.

That said, if he can't get a good return, let him play in the KHL till he's 25 or whatever. He's playing hardball, that goes both ways. Just business.

Galaxy brain management shipping Andersson out for an equal or better pick prospect with 3 years prolongation of ELC and now Kravtsov for 4 years of ELC so we can be cap compliant. This is a challenge but nothing that can't be overcome with patience and not letting Kravstov go for fruity pebbles. Hard to trade an immature player who already had one tantrum for full value but he has far more upside than the last deserter. Trade well, draft better and carry on. Trying to gauge the chances of a reconciliation and it's not looking great. Always a paper transaction away but does Drury play ball like that?

The issue isn't Hajek, it's that Kravtsov lost the spot to Gathier who's style fits our bottom 6 identity, and VK is not willing to wait to be called up as a replacement.

He does have to suck it up because HE IS UNDER CONTRACT. If he wants to void it fine. But you wont play for this team again.

Agreed. Some people are acting like he kicked their dog or something with the insults.
 
How do you keep Hajek on this team and not Kravtsov? Not saying his reaction is acceptable (it isn't), but we knew his history and they had to know there was a risk of it happening again thus tanking his value. Horrible asset management IMO.

I saw Gallant's quote. Having Hajek, Hunt, or Gauthier over Kravtsov doesn't make you play better hockey.

so how does this work now? Kravtsov's agent can contact other clubs and see if they're interested in him and then if they are, they contact Drury to work out a deal? Also, are the Rangers forced to deal him or can they still keep him in the organization even if he's wanting to leave?

I mean, of course. I have doubts about Andersson but I didn't really doubt Kravtsov had/has the ability to be a very effective NHL player. I think Andersson was just a big whiff across the board, whereas with Kravtsov it was more due to makeup than ability. But, who knows. Time will tell on both I guess. It's possible both become good NHL players or both bust completely.

Because one of them doesn't require waivers and that same guy is allowed to then play big minutes and continue getting better?

Why is the better decision for him or the team to sit him on the bench in lieu of playing big minutes in the AHL?

I’ve been saying it all week gallant and Drury owe kravtsov nothing and if you’re gallant with the style you like to play and you’ve only seen this camp you’d take Gauthier over him easily. Kravtsov has done f*** all to act so entitled. He hasn’t put up pts anywhere even when he’s played well.

it’s another bad top 10 pick.
