This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Chytil is also coming along rather slowly and so did Kreider.

I'm really starting to think Lafreniere is just a paper tiger. He has great instincts and used them to exploit teenagers in the Q, but he's not a good athlete and he's just not that skilled.

Laf is a bust, trade him to Montreal before he loses all value. At least with Kakko/Chytil you see usefulness and frankly Chytil as is now is not much more than you can expect, he was a late first rounder that some thought was a reach.

Kakkos one of our most talented forwards at creating space and opening up ice, no reason to play him 3 on 3, good choice. Chytil is our 4th highest forward in points per game, why play him right ? Get Vesey and Goodrow out there in OT. All these teams hand the keys to the their young players. WTF is with this organization? 12 minutes of ice time for them this game

Dude did you watch the OT? He must have jumped off the boards as they were rushing. He wasn’t used until there was 1 min left at the end of a rush. I didn’t even notice he was out there

I did watch.
He was the guy not really doing anything at the hash marks when the goal was scored.
Yes he came on late in OT, and I'm not even saying the goal was his fault, but he played in OT and was on the ice and in the play when the winner was scored.

I can see maybe two of those this summer. Deadline? No way. The East is wide open this year and Drury won't wave the white flag if they're still in the hunt months removed from a conference finals.

Panarin really can’t be trusted as a defensive player, especially in OT. If he doesn’t have the puck on his stick, he gets caught by getting out bodied by his own man driving to the net or doing a drive by on his own player who is wide open in front. It’s happened one too many times.
