This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Chytil is also coming along rather slowly and so did Kreider.
I'm really starting to think Lafreniere is just a paper tiger. He has great instincts and used them to exploit teenagers in the Q, but he's not a good athlete and he's just not that skilled.
Laf is a bust, trade him to Montreal before he loses all value. At least with Kakko/Chytil you see usefulness and frankly Chytil as is now is not much more than you can expect, he was a late first rounder that some thought was a reach.
