The Kid Line was a disaster tonight, the problem is OT in the NHL is basically a game of quick draw, it's not real hockey. Put people on the ice who can skate, and hope to get lucky.

Not that it would have changed the outcome, but with this roster, his 3rd combination in OT is Goodrow and Vesey. I want to say that is an indictment on the kids…but it’s just not. It’s inexcusable to not put Chytil out there, who’s been on a heater with 5 points in his last 4 games, and Kakko, a possession monster. Let alone our first ever #1 overall pick.

Because Vesey was our best F tonight by a pretty wide margin and Laf, Chytil and Kakko were ass.

He was our best forward but a wide margin? Did he even have a shot on net???

This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Chytil is also coming along rather slowly and so did Kreider.

I'm really starting to think Lafreniere is just a paper tiger. He has great instincts and used them to exploit teenagers in the Q, but he's not a good athlete and he's just not that skilled.

If this continues, I'd ask him to waive his NTC. He's by far our most talented offensive player, but we could free up so much money and we'd get a very nice haul from a potential playoff team.

Though knowing Drury, he'd probably get a second-round pick and Pierre Escargot while retaining 50% of his salary.

I've accepted Kakko and Chytil for what they are, and in all honesty it's fine. Not ideal but whatever. Lafreniere is a lost cause. If they traded him I wouldn't care one bit.

Kakko and Lafreniere need to be back in the top 6. This Kid line shit isn’t working when you have plugs in the top 6 in their place. I like Goodrow more than most but he can’t be in the top 6. Kravtsov needs to be in next game.

Maybe Gauthier should play in OT. At least he’s fast and will drive the net. Our talented stars just loop around and do literally nothing until they skate or pass themselves out of a possible chance and have to chase back the other way.

How in the blue hell do you zero in on Panarin when you should be considering Kreider and Trouba?
