The Kid Line was a disaster tonight, the problem is OT in the NHL is basically a game of quick draw, it's not real hockey. Put people on the ice who can skate, and hope to get lucky.
Yeah this ^^^ x 100Not that it would have changed the outcome, but with this roster, his 3rd combination in OT is Goodrow and Vesey. I want to say that is an indictment on the kids…but it’s just not. It’s inexcusable to not put Chytil out there, who’s been on a heater with 5 points in his last 4 games, and Kakko, a possession monster. Let alone our first ever #1 overall pick.
He was our best forward but a wide margin? Did he even have a shot on net???Because Vesey was our best F tonight by a pretty wide margin and Laf, Chytil and Kakko were ass.
He must have jumped on the ice for the first time with a minute left in the middle of a rush. Glad he put him out there. Great usage. Let’s use Goodrow and Vesey in the offensive zone draw thoughChytil was out there
Yes, but think of the meme possibilities. If this continues, I'd ask him to waive his NTC. He's by far our most talented offensive player, but we could free up so much money and we'd get a very nice haul from a potential playoff team.
Though knowing Drury, he'd probably get a second-round pick and Pierre Escargot while retaining 50% of his salary.
You mean the two goals against where the guy on the other team made all world deflection 30 feet in front of the net and the other than went off our defenseman's skate and into the top corner of the opposite direction of where the puck came from? The kid line was on for both goals against in regulation. They stunk. Chytil was playing better before they were reunited. Laf is bringing down every line that he's on. He's lost right now.
Lol you really hate Shesty. I don't get it. He's a Vezina winning goalie for pete's sake.
They can't really do anything. The salary cap is adjusted to USD in the year 1864.Won't matter either way, cause this roster construction is f***ing horrible.
Welcome to the club! We serve punch and cookies on Wednesday's.This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Chytil is also coming along rather slowly and so did Kreider.
I'm really starting to think Lafreniere is just a paper tiger. He has great instincts and used them to exploit teenagers in the Q, but he's not a good athlete and he's just not that skilled.
I know, the responses that “they were ass” and “Vesey was our best F tonight” are just ridiculous. Would rather Gauthier out there in OT than Vesey, by that logic.Even when they were doing shit he wouldn’t even let them look at OT anyway
He was second on the team in even strength goals last year and one of our best players in the playoffs. This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Oh I like punch!Welcome to the club! We serve punch and cookies on Wednesday's.
That's what GG wants I'm sure. He wants more Veseys and Goodrows and McKeggs. If they believe in Lafreniere, use him as a top player and stick with him through whatever rough patches you might have. If they don't believe in him, start taking phone calls.
Vesey and Goodrow on in overtime? Looks like we're getting closer to phone calls.
At least the league worked on these board ads for a decade & invested 10s of millions. All about growing the sport. They can't really do anything. The salary cap is adjusted to USD in the year 1864.
Maybe the team in front of him sucks at OT?I'm just tired of every OT being an automatic loss. He was good tonight don't get me wrong but as soon as the game went into OT we knew it was a loss.
I've accepted Kakko and Chytil for what they are, and in all honesty it's fine. Not ideal but whatever. Lafreniere is a lost cause. If they traded him I wouldn't care one bit. This organization definitely has a history of neutering forwards and I could buy that Kakko's lack of offensive confidence could be a development issue. Chytil is also coming along rather slowly and so did Kreider.

Dude did you watch the OT? He must have jumped off the boards as they were rushing. He wasn’t used until there was 1 min left at the end of a rush. I didn’t even notice he was out thereHe, Miller and Panarin were on for the GWG

"Lafreniere's playoffs" is becoming a meme.He was second on the team in even strength goals last year and one of our best players in the playoffs.
The coaching sucks donkey dick and he’s completely destroyed any confidence they had.
