Our starts are concerning, but there is definitely something to be said about our uncanny ability to take wins in close games when as recently as one season ago we were losing these types of games like clockwork
Definitely a different attitude, they are playing with more confidence and seemed to have bought into this system.
Not turtling when facing adversity. Just would like better starts to the game.

Difference is we gave the time to Gauthier instead.

I wouldn't mind if Laffy was moved up with Barron instead of Hunt. He was playing with McKegg and Reaves for Gods sake.... that's unacceptable
And dare I say it we might have missed Chytil tonight.

Only one. What's everyone drinking tonight?
So I kept seeing this. And I was curious. It taste like no frills soda. Like a shitty RC cola. Only had a tall.

We need to be treating our most prized prospect, in the history of the organization, better.

If he's been a detriment, I get it. But he's been engaged and skating. WE NEED to get him going and producing.

We talk about adding secondary scoring, I'll take secondary shots at this point.
Thought his penalty was a clean hit, not boarding. It is good to see some physicality in his game. Soon er later he will put it all together and be an awesome player

He's always had an edge to his game, but he definitely took really bad penalties in juniors.

I really wish they'd give him some games in Hartford. Taxi squad can fill in for him for a 10 game stint. Get him monster ice time and build up his confidence doing his thing against grown men.

I hate shootouts. But how can you not get excited over this thriller?

First Panarin answers Kopitar in a do or die situation,... then the first overall pick, responds to the 2nd overall pick, and then finally, two rounds later, Fox ends it with a sick backhand that has Jonathan Quick spread eagle on the ice. Oh baby, that was exciting!

For some reason I was allowed to vote for Fox twice in the three-star vote. So what a better night to do so. LOL!

That pass to Kreids, to open the scoring was also very sick.

I thought it very interesting on the trivia question tonight that the last Rangers player to lead the league in scoring was in the 41-42 season. Hope Kreider can keep it up, would be nice to have the leading goal scorer on this team

How does the NHL allow LA to wear those reflective helmets? Geez, I actually saw the jumbotron in their helmets. That has got to be distracting for opposing teams, with the lights from above reflecting off those helmets.

I mean they would probably be distracting for the Kings too if that's the case.

So like does this game not count as a real win since the kings are only good, but they aren't super duper good?

Thought for sure it was Jagr, but then I looked it up and remembered that was Cheechoos' fluke season where he scored 56 goals somehow.

I have to give a shoutout to Jonathan Quick. The 36 year old netminder still has it. We shoulda won this game by 2 or 3 goals. 3 saves off the top of my head were outstanding during regulation. And a couple of more in OT. There was a Strome one-timer between the dots that went off the butt of his stick. Trouba's toe drag in the slot, stopped by a great glove save, and a few others I can't remember. Shesty was good but Quick was outstanding. He kept LA in this game.
