Unlikely, though honourable mention before +/- stats to Mike Moher who contributed to our 1982 Memorial Cup season while accumulating 384 PIM during the season and 120 PIM in the playoffs (1114 in 3 season career) ... possibly all records?. We also had Adam Keefe, who accumulated 975 career PIM (5 seasons), and was a key contributor to our 2003 Memorial Cup season but was certainly only ever lacklustre for +/- stats.
Both guys were not huge but had an total edge to their games. They both could play hockey also along with the element they contributed to the team. The Rangers picked up a player from Sudbury back then whose name escapes me. He said it was terrifying to know Moher was on the other bench when he was in opposition. He had incredible strength for his size.

I agree that it was a lot of pick to give up for Sale and Savard, and that Sale has not shown much in the way of return on those picks. On the other hand, most were lower picks (one second) and I think Savard was included as much for next year as this year (although he helps this year, too). The D will be pretty inexperienced next year. Depending on the offseason adds (maybe in the import draft) Savard could be on the top pair next year. Having an experienced D to soak up tough minutes also makes it easier, or possible, to trade Ando.

Maybe I am giving MM too much credit here, but almost all of his deals (except one) have had a future component to them this year.

Can't forget Robbie Nichols and Lou Crawford back in that Era.
Always enjoyed Moher introducing himself to Mark Hatcher from NB.

We were at Grand River arena when our sons played. The Rangers lost the night before. Crozier was pissed. He had them on the ice there. By the time practice was over there were 4 players that he hadn't kicked out. Nichols got kicked out and came off laughing with a black eye from the game the night before.

Erie jumped up to the 5th spot. 1 point separates 5th from 7th.

JJ Salajko dad Jeff grew up here in KW and played in net for Ottawa 67s. I worked with his grandfather who resides here in KW. Talk to him at the mall once in a while about Jeff and JJ. Real nice hockey family. Jeff is the head of goalie scouting I believe for the Oilers now. Previously with the Red Wings and Columbus. Razor with his 50th amazing player. Hope he gets 60.

The Storm and Attack have been having problems lately.

If the playoffs were to start today, the Rangers would be playing the Otters.

Looks like it’s going to go down to the final weekend to determine who we face, and SAG still has a chance to overtake London.

JJ is a super humble and kind young man himself. I know that many of us wish nothing but good things for him. I was at the game at the Aud yesterday and thought he played such a good game.

8 games remaining.

Brzustewciz is 8 points away from the franchise record of points in a season for a defender
