Yes, I see us as 7th YOUNGEST as well? As for "weighted average", as the poster above mentions, I see nothing "weighted". You take the total age of the players, divide it by the number of players and you get your average age. A "weighted average" would be if you, for example, took Arquette and factored in the number of games he played rather than just an additional body.

So I am not clear how the attached list is calculated. Is it the current roster used only? Or is there some sort of formula that takes into account what players are used and how many games they played? I guess that is what I meant by, "What do you mean by "weighted average"" up above. To the other poster. LOL!

Agree with your Missy assessment. They were looking good even towards the end of last year.
I don't think any of it is really weighted. Schmidt though in Kingston for a short time counts as 20 years, 10 months among 24 players. A team like NB (I did not check what the table has for NB) with 9-17 yr olds among 25 even though only 5 play each game might be artificially younger

Because it wasn’t really a slew foot.
Just asking for evidence, Even. I don't trust the OHL website at this point. Probably closed shop until at least Monday. LOL!

That is what I thought. It looks like they take everyone on the roster and divide that number. We are "artificially younger" right now as we don't have Rake, Mesar or Martin in the lineup.

Kostuch 21st puck in 2023 draft.
Alex Cajkovic 2005 import D
2nd RD pick (NB) in '27
3rd RD pick (PBO) in '24
4th RD pick (SAG) in '24
4th RD pick (NB) in 2025
5th RD pick (WSR) in 2025
5th RD pick (BAR) in '26

That would of filled our 3rd line and giving us a 3/4 dman.

I wouldn’t give up Romano for that package

Either would I. Will be a very interesting next 4 days. Really wondering if MM can pull off a miracle and keep the 2007s and add 3 or 4 depth players to this team.

This trade suggest you need players and picks to make similar deals. Does this set the bar?
I hope not! So Sarnia is trading 3 of their 4 top point getters in this deal. (And the 3 of them have Hunter Brz outpointed by 28 points!) I would NEVER make this deal, sorry. North Bay will be an interesting "watch" for the rest of the year.

With the prices so far I think some of the teams that are already contenders and have smaller cupboards may just let it ride with the players they have.
And here come more trades..........

Jan. 6
FLNT
Braeden Kressler
NB 3 2024
LDN 10 2024

OTT
FLNT 3 2024
KIT 3 2024
OTT 9 2025
SOO 2 2026
LDN 3 2027

So basically, Kressler is a 2nd and 2 x 3rds?

I still think one has to be more than a "depth player" if we truly want to contend.

1 very good 3rd liner.
1 vet 3rd liner.
1 3/4 Dman.
1 5/6 vet Dman

It’s a lot to ask with these prices.
