As far as cost goes, MM would have the leverage. The last time we had a Peterboro Pete demand to only report to Kitchener, we got him for two seconds. Matt Puempel.

So let me get this straight. The team that just held us to 13 shots last night without Sapovaliv and Dionicio are adding Beck and Bloom and our fan base wants us to trade away assets to go for it this year.

Peterborough board on here is saying Beck won't go. As a Peterborough native he apparently wants to stay in Peterborough. Dunno if legit or not

Born in Peterborough. Played his minor hockey in Quinte West which isn’t too far from PTBO.

Sometimes a player might say 1 team as they have a relationship somehow with someone on that team. The only connection I see are Rehkopf (world juniors) and maybe a couple ex games with Mesar in MTL.

Would be really interesting if this is true. Just because he picks here does not mean we have to give up Romano or any 2007. We can put our best offer forward and see he PTBO takes it. IF this is true then I think MM would have no issues with only adding Beck upfront and then focusing on D. Beck is a huge add.

Could see campbellford native Campbell in a deal. If they can’t get a 07 then they’re probably gonna ask for a 06 either Ellinas or Bott

I don’t think so. He would still get PP and PK time. You need a strong 3 lines in playoffs. This would easily be the best 3 centers in the OHL. Probably CHL….

If I’m him, I’m rubbed the wrong way a little if you don’t improve on that third line you posted above. I’d try to get a good veteran LW to play with he and Lam.

Because I think maybe Beck wasn’t really on MM’s radar because of probable cost and the likely bumping of Sop out of the top six. So his position needs to be Beck comes for cheap or not at all because you really weren’t hard after him to begin with.

If we’re making any bigger additions, it has to be on D. Any forward adds have to be on the cheap. If Beck is one of those, so be it.

So be it then. We can’t be giving significant assets away for a player that doesn’t come close to addressing our most pressing needs.

As I said elsewhere, worst case for the Petes is if he isn’t moved. But, you can’t complain much, just look up at the banner!
