Well deserved. Sop took steps every year and really grew into a force in this league.

I will be curious to see where he takes his Hockey career after this season, likely gets some professional opportunities, if not that he would make any U-sports teams better.

Sop deserves this award IMO. Also he seems like a great kid with a good head on his shoulder in interviews. Home town boy also.

As a Knights supporter there isn’t one Knights player I would want on the ice ahead of having Ando off of it. The kid is a beast and as you noted you all are thin back there …. Don’t ever want to see a player targeted but whatever else can be done to get him off of there is a major bonus!

Evan Headrick has a lot of the same concerns attached to him as Zhlikin does, sitting at 5 '7". Headrick has elite hockey sense and awareness, and he plays with advanced pace and anticipation. He has been able to complement Ethan Belchetz, but also drive and create his own offence while on the ice with Belchetz. Headrick became his own player on a team with so much high-end skill, and his vision and hockey sense separated him from the rest. He can create in all areas of the offensive zone, and he is an elite space manipulator. He is always drawing players towards him to open up lanes for himself and teammates, Headrick is easy for players to play with. He can create offence out of nothing, and all of a sudden he’s worked himself to the front of the net for a high danger chance. Like Zhilkin, his ceiling is high as a top-six visionary creator, but there will be an adjustment period with his size and adapting to the mature physicality of the league.-Brock ottens mock draft. Just a minor correction....I believe it's Weston Cameron, not the other way around :) .

Regardless, sounds like a great pick. Interesting that Kitchener took the time-out with this pick. Wish I was a fly on the wall at that point. Maybe the conversation was a "Crap, they took our pick. Now what do we do ?" (Flint picking Gage Brandon) or "Crap, I can't believe this guy hasn't been picked yet. Do we go this route instead? (Weston Cameron).

If you look his name up in the phone book it's Cameron Weston. Kidding. 😉Never read much about this pick but fans of other teams were hoping he was picked by their franchise. Great size. I like the picks so far.
