Ty Nelson 5'10" 203 pounds. Fire hydrants count too! This post about North Bay was in jest. Just getting a rise out of OMG.

LOL. I couldn’t resist the Big D joke. It’s the perpetual teenager in me that fights to come out now and then….

MM making the trade for Lleyton yesterday and upgrading an OA position. Looks as though he is interested in at least making some sort of splash in the play offs. Rangers need to put more pucks in the net and Lleyton should really contribute. Guess he will be looking at strengthening the forward position also as the bottom end of this team could use a boost.

Maybe ship off Valade for a Logan Morrison, players and picks?

At this point, with MM all in, we need another top line forward. With our asset base, it may have to be by way of an OA upgrade.

Morrison in / Valade out accomplishes that but doesn’t strengthen our third line.

But a top 03 in and Valade staying allows us to drop Valade to the third line making that line a threat assuming/hoping Valade contributes the offence he did in the second half last year.

A top 19 year old is usually be more expensive than a comparable OA. But could Winterton be had at a price comparable to Morrison based on his injury history? Hasn’t played yet this year and missed half of last year. But had a big post season. We rolled the dice before on a 19 year old with injury history before with success. Logan Brown was a post season stud for us.

I'm not to keen on these long term injuries. I think of Connor Hall rather than Brown. So lets get X man junior with the deal and throw in a few more picks or a player. We get a player for the longer term, and would easily slot into the 3rd line with grit alone. And his 7 goals are good for 4th on the Bulldogs. I'm sure his production would go up. I can see him and Zidlicky thriving playing on the same line.

Yes. Winterton / Hall. Both shoulders.

Morrison will be expensive. The top OA that’ll be made available. And there’ll be more than one contending team who’ll be in the hunt. Probably cost us at least what we got for Xhekaj.

True, then there are those back door deals...........Send us Morrison and Xman this year and maybe we send you Rehkoph next year. (with picks to balance things out) Hmmm? I can't figure Sarnia out. I wonder if they would part with Ty Voit with conditions of whether he plays pro next year. Same sort of deal? ..............................Never mind...............Sarnia just answered my question by picking up Christian Kyrou for a player, 2 x 2nds, a 3rd, a 4th and a 5th.

There was a better chance of Brzustewicz reporting to Michigan than Hage.

Hunter B was a big Michigan fan since childhood etc etc etc. Hage made it known he wanted to play in the OHL at 17.

We’ll see.
eh the Hage coming at 17 stuff seemed like MM's hope and spin (even when you know a guy is probably defective and you're ok with it, you don't want to paint it that way outright in case things change and because it's not as exciting to fans) while he tried to work on the family. Brz committed earlier and then came to OHL, Hage chose to go USHL as a Canadian. It's listed now on EliteProspects.

Doesn't look like he's playing any major Junior until early 2023 anyway.

I don't think it would cost more than we got for Xhekaj. That would leave us with a couple of 2nds and 3rds to use some combination of to add a grit/phyiscal/defensive forward.

I do Morrison for the Xhekaj cost. Valade trumps Mutter though, (I think so but they do play a different game), maybe Florian comes with Morrison reflecting that?

Again though, please MM, try and keep the 2nd in 23 and 2x3rds in 23. Those two 1st rounds need as good a supporting cast as possible at their age group.

Maybe a bit, I think Mutter's size and physicality are as valuable as Valade's increased production, and even tho it happened after we traded for him, there is something to be said for Mutter earning an NHL contract (I suppose Valade still could in his OA year but unlikely).

In doing any two-part deal, I think the player we send in the off-season should be Brzustewicz. I don’t know if there’s a player out there I want to give up two years of Rehkopf for.

But, we’d also have to get Hunter B to agree to report to wherever we traded him. That might be Saginaw. He’s a Michigan kid and if they get the hosting duties next year? He may say yes to that move. Problem is, the only player Saginaw has now worthy of that move, as far as I’m concerned, is Mintyukov.

I know we just added Moore, but could we swing something? A two-parter where Mintyukov comes this way, Hamara and picks go the other way and Hunter B goes to Saginaw for picks in the off-season?

That would make our D league best I’m thinking. And it would give Saginaw two gems on D in Brzustewicz and Hamara for their run next year.

Why is Kitchener a buyer? They are two points out of being out of a playoff spot? The few games I've seen the play against Windsor, the Spits skated circles around them.

dont disagree but they dont have a great 04/05 age group, so they kind of have too.
