I haven't heard anything as I don't have those connections but I fully expect he will be in the OHL after the world juniors and I wouldn't be shocked if he's traded to Sarnia. He is a classic Sarnia move and I'm not sure Kitchener wants to pony up what they would need to for him ( and i wouldn't blame them ). I think Kitchener adds before the deadline but not Wright or Clarke.
That's my thinking too. Hopefully, with a big name like that coming back the rangers would be able to add a different player that may have moved in Wrights place, if they do decide to add.

Gonna be in town Friday night against the hounds...do i need to get tickets beforehand or will i be able to just buy a couple at the box office on game night? i haven't been to the Aud in over 20 years so looking forward to it. last game i saw there all i remember was Nick Jones fought Mike Amodeo.

ah the good old days.

If that was the same game I’m thinking about, they fought twice.

Amodeo edged Jones in the first fight. Amodeo surprised himself being a couple years younger. But then the next time they got out on the ice together, right off the puck drop Jones jumped Amodeo and pummelled him in return. Amodeo didn’t see it coming but should have.

Jones likely was embarrassed getting best in the first fight by the younger player and was seething.

As you said, ah, the good old days!

Oh, and you shouldn’t have trouble getting tickets at the box office on game night. Rangers have good crowds, but don’t come near to selling out.

miss those days. we are actually lucky this year as we have a fairly tough team and have had more than a handful of fights. but nothing can compare to those late 90s, early 2000 teams. 96' we had Nathan Perrott and Marc Moro, then 97' we had Nick Jones, Josh Bennett, Tim Zafiris all as rookies and Scott Page as well. fun nights at the ol' Memorial Gardens.

cheers

GU is currently in timeout for lack of vetting but there a question to be asked for Ranger fans...

Are Kitchener fans a fan of Lleyton Moore?

I think if we added on D we're looking for more Defense first, physical player and less so a smaller offensive defenseman, and if we are upgrading at OA, we're probably doing it at forward.

Depending which OA is going, I wouldn't hate it, but I hope more is in the works at forward if that is the case...and depending on if we can get Roman Schmidt to play defense more.
Between the Two, I would prefer Serpa if Im the Gens

ya, between him and Valade I'm not sure. I think Serpa can put up more points but we have a few guys similar to him but better, while Valade I have questions about his offensive IQ but has better speed and strength on the puck, and is a little better fit on our current team perhaps. I probably prefer to keep Serpa but it's a bit of a coin flip, and all really depends on the price on top of our OA.

How is Moore away from the puck?

I figured it would cost a 2nd and something. 3rd might be a touch rich. I think it makes our D corps really good and deep, only player going out was having trouble finding a good fit (if he's not a C here in the top 6, he's not as useful imo) here and a change of scenery could be really good for him with the stuff he had to deal with at the beginning of the season. We have some pieces that should recoup those picks next season when we're for sure rebuilding.

I hope this comes with a message to Schmidt that he'd not the puck carrying offense first D on this team.

I think we still need another top 6 calibre player and/or a couple veteran physical and defensive oriented 3rd liners.

And we have 4 x 2nds and 7 x 3rds to do it.

And I wanted to hold onto our 2nd and two 3rds in the upcoming draft. Sure we have the two 1sts, but we should get those two the best possible supporting cast at that age group.

It's always kind of exciting when trades happen. I am more of a fan of big D. Especially stay at home types that make opposing forwards pay the price. Good to have a mobile Dman on the PP though. Sounds like MM paid the price here. We wait and see if he got skinned and tacked to the barn door. Sounds like a lot to pay for an overage very small defenseman. Wonder if someone on from Oshawa can give some incite on this kid. Must be a slippery devil to garner that many points on defense.
