It takes two to tango. Kaprizov wanted shorter term.
An extra 2.6 million per year (13 million extra over the first 5 years) certainly may have made him willing to give max term.

I'm not sure who we don't have anymore if we gave him the extra $2-$3 million
You got a chuckle out of me, but it unfortunately wouldn't be Benn, since his cap hit is so low. Based off the timing of the deals, it would probably be Gologoski, and he would have had to be replaced with another cheap d-man. I'm not sure who was still available for that cheap at that time (besides Addison as an internal option), but I wouldn't be surprised if they'd signed another Benn.Hopefully Benn...
I won't be surprised if he does. He picks up a lot of assists, but he's always been a goal scorer. In the KHL he had 113 goals to 117 assists. Very Gaborik like, that ratio.Looking at his numbers, it looks like if he ever has a season where he shoots higher than normal by a hit, he could probably score 50
We wanted 8 years, he didn't. Not much you can do about that.we should've given him the panarin deal when we had the chance
