Good to have him back.

It's one of those situations that him being away allows you to see how much he's developed and how much he contributes to the team. He was such a presence on the ice almost every shift.

I think HuGo may have actually snagged a first line player.
Does anyone not see Hughes giving Dach every chance to solidify his status at C. That is why I don't think we are actively seeking a PLD trade. It would have to be a steal for them to act. IMO

Certified stud. Said before the year that he was on the Suzuki/Caufield tier for us and he has proven why.
I feel bad for Nick who was obviously overjoyed to have him back. Dach won't be his winger as early as next game.

3rd OA Bust
Ded wrist 4ever
Frank Nazar the fifteenth
You know what it is too
I think in Chicago it always felt like he was on "someone else's team" through no fault of Kane/toes btw, that just happens sometimes
But it feels like NOW his mentality is more "I'm finally on MY team" now, and you just see him thriving because he is now underneath NObodies shadow

I really can't believe we're moving forward with this organized planned roster construction with THIS good an asset to add to the collection

I remember an interview with gorton a few months ago while dach was having success on the wing with the big line.

He was asked about how they see Dach moving forward. Gorton flat out said that he sees dach as a center in the long run.

I think they want Dach at C. But PLD can also play wing and has for much of his career. Ideally I'd want them on the same line with a trigger man.

Yeah people look at it wrong IMO
We don't want PLD to push Dach off of C
I want PLD to help Suzuki at C,
Dach and PLD are more Centers that can play great Wing if need be where as Suzuki to me is more of a winger that's SO talented he can play top6 center too
The fact Dach, Suzuki (and if we get him PLD) can ALL play C/W brings an enormous roster versatility that we can constantly tinker with, even DURING a game, could be a huge advantage

Agreed, the C/W flexibility is also something Tampa/Avs use with Stamkos/Point/Cirreli and Rantanen/Landeskog/MacKinnon.

My dream top 6 going into next season:

Dubois - Suzuki - Caufield
Slafkovsky-(Fantilli/Bedard)-Dach

Does PLD sign knowing we are slotting him on a wing?
