He's got to be able to win faceoffs offensive zone. Need puck control, Leads to more goals. To play on top 2 lines. He's going to be drawing against generally defensive faceoff artists
Faceoffs are the least important factor in his game. I’m just not a fan of his game at all. He’s playing well, it’s just whatever, I’m not a fan. Felt the same way with patio ready. Good stats and shit, but meh for me to watch.

It’s all we hear about Dach “FO FO”. Yes he has to improve this aspect which usually takes time to young C like he is.

But the rest of his play ?? Which forwards on this team is playing better currently ?

Even Caufield was very discrete against Detroit and Washington.
I probably wouldn't have traded for Dach. I just see no shot and weak on faceoffs, odds of him being top 2 center as not good. He's got a long ways to go. As second line winger yes. But they generally aren't worth 13th pick in good draft. Just my opinion.

I like what I see from him. Clearly rough around the edges but I can see why he was highly touted.

Big strong forward, who likes to slow the play down, and tough to knock off the puck which increases zone time.

I do see some Getzlaf in him in terms of playing style.

And before someone quotes me, please re-read that I said playing style.... Not that he is actually Getzlaf.

What a self indulged post. Being negative on a player because they don't entertain you enough after 3 games.

Yawn. I don’t like his style. I never did, so it’s been more than 3 games. I also said he’s been playing well. Who the f*** are you to tell me what I should be ok being entertained with.

You call my post self indulged. Yours is delusional because I never shit on him. I said personally I don’t like him. If that bothers you, too bad.

Calm down bro. For somebody that uses these boards as their personal feelings journal you should be prepared that people will read and comment on it.

I guess I just want to read and talk about hockey here and what players are capable of, not your current level of entertainment. That does bother me cause it's a waste of time and purely a narrative in only your head.

For the record though I'm sure I'm not in the minority who thinks that a post stating "Don't care about this guy, not my style" is a useless thing to read. Nobody cares. People also especially don't care about this exchange so don't @ me bro.

Lolol, wanting to take a parting shot while at the same time telling me not to reply. Get over yourself. Everything we post on here is a waste of time. Do you think you’re achieving something meaningful with anything you post here?

Respectfully, the way Dach has played this season is a different style than he was playing in Chicago. He's attacking the net more frequently than he did in Chicago, he's handling the puck closer to his body and he's playing more engaged in the offensive zone.

Its fine to not like a player's style, but if you're seeing the same player he was in Chicago, then the criticism simply doesn't ring true.

Guessing some people weren't entertained by the way he scored that goal.
I was very entertained myself.

Showed another meh game to my eye though. Defers to the Drouin zone way too much.

In fact, if you swaped a 77 for a 92, I have a hard time believing youd see a difference. (A 92 because hes not 27 Drouin bad, rather maybe 2017-19 Drouin quality.)

Yeah… no.

You can’t possibly write this comment with a straight face.

I feel very similar. One is taller and shinier though.

I don’t think so, he’s got a muffin of a shot and he plays the perimeter just as much as he did in Chicago. I’m not a fan of him, unless there’s a change to his game I don’t think I’ll ever be. I’ll still root for him as a Hab. He scored the OT winner last night on sick pass from Monahan, but had an otherwise terrible game imo.

I don’t think we will have a consistent top 6 center with this guy. Happy to be proven wrong.

You must wear the same glasses as the dog in your avatar cause you're consistently wrong about a lot of players.
