Player Discussion Kirby Dach: Welcome to Montreal part 2

I can’t comment without a source. Don’t know what he may have said and until I listen to what he said. Had he involved Dach in a Team Canada scandal, knowing how he works, he must have had a multiplicity of reliable sources confirming it and if not, then he would have been sued by now.

That would be an unnecessarily aggressive move that most would counsel against.

Depends what he said. There are limits to freedom of speech. If he made false accusations and implicated Dach in a criminal act that he was not involved in, then it’s not “unnecessarily aggressive”, it’s justice.

he was not a member of the 2018 team.

It would have to be pretty overt and inflammatory for a suit to be a sensible response, simply from a cost perspective and chances of success.

How's that possible though, he wasn't even on the team.
My point exactly.

I’m hoping to hear the segment to find out what was said.
He basically said « here’s a question: why did the Hawks trade him? A young talented center? What do they know? Could it be related to the recent revelations about Team Canada? »

Paraphrasing. It was the type of thing that you can’t sue for cause he’s not saying it, but planting seeds.

He also got his career ahead with the "worst day in Habs history" scandal, which is one of the many major occurences that has built-up a bad reputation for players to play here. The sort of sensationalistic crap that most players can avoid elsewhere.
Oh man I remember that, it was a while back! I remember not wanting to go to bed to find out lmao

Was it Jacques Demers that cried on TV?

I remember rumors about a young player then, pretty sure it was Price… anyways can’t talk about that here

I had no idea how he stated it but if it’s the way you mention it, there’s nothing there.

I see very few similarities between Eller and Dach's game. Not sure what Martin is smoking here.
My point exactly.

They f***ing traded debrincat too? This journalist should be fired for that shit, gives the media a bad name and ruins media integrity.

Incredible that none of these fools had those question about Drouin who, unlike Dach, had been showing red flags for years.

Chicago has been trading away great players for a decade. They have a piss poor record of trading away firsts who went on to breakout elsewhere.

Meanwhile, none of these idiots asked themselves: why would the best GM in the league trade away his 3rd OA pick so soon ?

Then, they can't even bother to check whether the year fit with the WJC. Id be barred from my job if I showed that kind of incompetence.

Drouin had asked for a trade

Yeah that’s something else. Kostystin didn’t have anything to do with darkest day

Drouin had asked for a trade
Drouin refused to go to TB’s AHL trade. Refused to play for his QJMHL team. And reportedly refused to play for a midgetAAA team… he was clearly a headcase before we traded for him.

No darkest day was the habs and Kostitsyns having some gang affiliation or some shit. They were being seen with mafia members

That was in January the year before. He had his playoffs and a full regular season afterwards. I'm actually counting that request as one of the red flags. So much entitlement from someone who did so little at that point.

That is correct. Hamrlik was also implicated with mafia affiliation.

The rumours on here were rampant that night. I remember people saying Higgins was apprehended when the plane landed.

Legally no, but I never stated as such. You thought so.

I’m saying it’s bad journalism.
I only looked at contingencies. I couldn’t have possibly have thought it was the case without listening to what he said, which I still haven’t been able to cause no source was provided for your assertions. It’s just your opinion at this point.
