Player Discussion Kirby Dach: Welcome to Montreal part 2

Hughes apparently said it (3-4 years from now) on French radio (see this post: HF Habs: - The official 2023-2024 tank thread)

And looks like I made a mistake. I thought Suzuki was 25, but he's still 24, so 28-29 years old.

This is so lame.

We've been losing pretty consistently since 2017-2018. We blew a pick but by and large have come out with good young players out of it. 3-4 years from now puts us at 2027 or 2028. You're looking at ten years there.

Not to be hyperbolic because of the Dach injury (and I've been trending that way for a little while) but I think I might be done with this club for a while. Follow from afar, catch a few games here and there and check back-in when there's actually going to a shot of getting something done. I have no intention of watching a club lose way more than it wins for ten years like Buffalo and New Jersey fans have. There's more interesting shit to do.

I was watching the play on loop earlier to try to figure out how it happened. Hard to tell if it’s the initial impact or when he extended his leg on the bench.

His leg got caught up inside Tinordi's right leg and bended towards the outside.

It doesn't take much to f*** your knee up.

This is just awful luck. In the grand scheme of things a full acl and mcl tear is a pretty rare injury in hockey. For it to happen on that play too… just weird and terrible luck.

Wishing Dach a good recovery. Feel awful for the kid.

Before last game I predicted a big game for Dach.

By big game, apparently I meant final NHL game. RIP Dach. You will be missed.

Its hard to be even a little optimistic in his case.

His knees and wrist are done and he is not even 23. It sucks but he might not even be a part of the rebuild after that if he never come back healthy, and even if he does... for how long

His wrist is more than fine.
