Disaster news
Just.. not fair
Wishing speedy recovery bud
You'll be back better than ever
He'll be skating at the end of the season watch
Skating like in a track suit? Both ACL + MCL means he’s getting a knee replacement surgery, correct me if I’m wrong.

This is not good, I don’t even want to think about a Markov situation here.

so from what im seeing its a ACL MCL tear and depending on severity could be like 6-8 weeks or 9-12 months, lets hope its a low grade tear

Just terrible news if true. The ONLY possible good thing is to bring up another youngster to get some playing time .No not Armia or anyone of our overpaid scrubs

Sucks for Dach, repeated injuries weigh heavy on the head. Sucks for Slaf also, he & Dach we’re starting to show chemistry. Further imaging will let the team know how extensive the damage is….certainly doesn’t sound promising.

Has anyone looked at the play closely? Was there another angle? Wondering what the initial point of contact was.
That’s a very good question, I don’t see an impact either. Maybe it buckled when he went over the board but his legs stayed stiff. No idea honestly.

IIRC Markov was injured, and they didn't do the full remedy to the knee, he got injured again. then they did the full surgery route and he was actually a very healthy player from then on. I think Dach being so young will help him recover

If there ever a prospect that was flat out ruined it was David Wilkie. Mario Tremblay had a promising young puck moving Dman and he mishandled him. I met David Wilkie at a Habs game in DC. He was a healthy scratch and we spoke for about 20 minutes. He wasn't making excuses but you could tell he was struggling with the way things were working out for him. I felt bad for him.
Thanks for sharing that about David Wilkie. That Mario Tremblay may have messed up yet another player interaction, well, I'm not exactly shocked by the news.

I think they did it twice for Markov, the first surgery didn’t take, he had infection in it. They had to take tissue from a corpse if memory serves well.. I’ll look for it to make sure.

They've already stated Newhook is moving to center and Pezz is getting in the lineup. No callups for now.
The right call.

It’s unfortunate because I think that line Newhook/Dach/Slaf seemed to have another gear and I think they were all about to have career years.

The silver lining of course is this could very well lead us to Celebrini/Eiserman. That is not a bad thing.

I was watching the play on loop earlier to try to figure out how it happened. Hard to tell if it’s the initial impact or when he extended his leg on the bench.

This is just so f***ing shitty. Take the full season Curvy Duck. Come back strong next year. Comeback player of year next year.
