injured, sick, depressed, etc..

if the player cant stay on the ice game after game then it becomes a liability!
... pretty sure it was covid, so then no one was on the ice

While some may see this as a negative, it could give him time to work on his overall strength, would be cool if he came back next year bigger and stronger and took off then

its definitely a negative; im all for being optimistic but missing game time is never a positive

especially since Dach has only played in 73% of his teams games in his career thus far.. and that number will likely drop closer to 70% or lower during this season

i see examples using Crosby but theyre flawed; Crosby played in over 90% of his teams games his first five seasons, therefore his development was not hampered nearly as much

Since the Habs have had him for one season, two training camps and have kept tabs on him in the last two off seasons, even if the Hawks had their reasons, would those not have come to the surface with the Habs by now?
Without knowing the reasons, don't know. Remembering way back to when Chris Chelios was traded, there was a lot of speculation but don't believe the real story came out until Serge Savard's book a couple of years ago (the doctors told him Chelios' knee was bad). Maybe we hear the story here someday, maybe not.

Okay, instead of all of us trying to decide if Kirby's done or not let's worry about his future as a Montreal Canadian. Let's just hope his career is able to be saved here until we hear how bad this is

Habs won 16-Cups in 26-years (1953-1979)

Everything evens out in life…
I understand, but to everyone under 40 that doesn't really matter. We never experienced "the good times", we've only ever known being a team that sneaks into the playoffs and has no real chance but sometimes gets a partial Cinderella run. And it's always on the back of a goalie with a defensive group. I hope one day we get to see a real star forward, hell even a menacing top-6 maybe! I just want to live in that timeline for a little bit!

What's wrong with you? calling a kid's injury ''karma''

No one called Nazar a bust. Most are just happy to have Dach because he's a special type of player while some cried at the time of the trade for a player the habs never wanted anyway.

I didn't do any of that but if karma was real, Chicago wouldn't have won 3 cups and been gifted Bedard after the disgusting shit they swept under the rug.

It's an unfortunate injury, that's it. No need for that esoteric nonsense.

Has anyone mentioned he’s “injury prone” yet?

I understand that people want to seem knowledgeable and/or remind people that their opinions were “right,” and it’s a message board, but when one of the biggest pieces of our rebuild is lost for a significant injury/amount of time, taking a lap on “karma” and “I told you sos” seems to be in ridiculously bad taste. In my opinion at least.

I feel really bad for the kid - he’s worked extremely hard and it was paying off, he was becoming a puck possession, play driving, big body presence. He was playing physical and had made some very nice passing plays. It must be incredibly disappointing after working hard all off season and looking fairly dominant so far this year.

I don’t expect him to return this year from the fatalistic language used so far by the coaches and reporters. I hope he’s able to fully recover, we will miss his presence badly in our lineup.

If this ends up being true it absolutely sucks.

Yeah that would mean he's done for the year, just brutal. That's the kind of injury that could hinder him for the rest of his career depending on a lot of things, don't even wanna go there.

Forget the season. Let’s hope there is some silver lining — like them being partial tears or something like that — because this could be a career derailing injury. Very grim.

Poor guy doesn’t deserve such rotten luck. Hope he is doing okay.
