What about Frank Nazar though?
Don’t worry about him. He’ll wind up racking up a hundred points playing with Bedard and people will criticize the trade.

Seriously though, love the fact that we traded for a young prospect like this. This is how you find value. I prefer trading away a vet for it but glad that we’ve landed a solid center prospect. We’ve got some good potential up front.

Who plays with Suzuki and CC?

If Newhook can fill a center spot. I'd have one of Monahan or Dach on Suzuki/Caufield/s line.

Up the middle
Suzuki
Monahan or Dach
Newhook
Dvorak or Evans.

Today, I'd put Dach with Suzuki and Caufield. Let Monahan win faceoffs on another line. But I'm totally fine with Monahan on the Suzuki line and Dach on the other line as a center.

Having options is a good thing.

Best forward last night.

He was relentless on the forecheck, always hustling and winning most of the battles.

He’s the player with the highest potential on this team. They need to give him whatever he needs to reach it.

Chicago probably needed to trade Dach to finish last.

I don't think it changes anything. They just have to not sign Domi that summer and it equals things out. They had the chance to develop a Getzlaf like center behind Bedard but traded it for a 13th pick. It was a bad move. We'd be furious if HuGo did something like that.

They won the lottery and wasn’t even last!

Anyway, we’ve got a freaking beast in our hands
Yes, there are no template about winning the lottery on a generational talent other than "luck".

I had a Turgeon cap as a kid and he got traded, i got a Subban hoodie and he got traded, i think im not buying Dach merch.

Anyone know where i can buy an Armia t shirt ?
Get a Gallagher tshirt please.

It’s a no brainer today. At the time, it was not viewed as such.
I had no problem trading Romanov. I just didn’t know enough about his time in Chicago.

I distinctly remember @WeThreeKings being super high on him despite the production not being sky high. I had that in the back of my mind so I wasn’t super excited but I stayed fairly agnostic about it. I liked the idea of a big C. I did remember hearing he looked pretty damn good in his rookie season though too.

He looks unreal. Great 1-2 combo up the middle. Have a feeling they’ll be great come playoff time

I've always been high on him and that trade made me so happy. The ceiling is sky high

Dach has one thing I never knew he had...bad hair day.

There was a few games last year where he was manhandling players just because he can. That to me is a BIG deal because it shows that he can play with emotion and carry out those emotions on the ice.

When rumours surfaced that Jets wanted him included in the Dubois fiasco, my response is why on earth do we trade someone who is going to be his equal or better. I wanted a 1st rounder if Dach was included.

One of the reasons I wanted Dubois was to pair him with Dach OR put Dach with CC/Suzuki. That would result in a point per game player.

Anywho...Dubois is dead to me. I want to see Dach become our 2C or even our 1C.
