Recent Engels article that includes a Dach portion

I asked Martin St. Louis how he feels Dach is doing, and he said, “I like his poise and, obviously, his reach.”

“He’s got a pretty annoying stick to be playing against,” St. Louis added. “He’s got quite the reach, so he can disrupt. And I think the more he plays, the more comfortable he will be in where to go on the ice and why he’s there. It takes a little time. He’s adjusting to a new group and a new city, but the abilities he has to protect pucks, manage pucks and drive the offence is there. We’ve just gotta give him a bit of time to put it all together with the new concepts.”

I can confidently say that no one on the team can pass the way Dach does. He needs a few things to refine and can use a little more intensity on the ice, but the tools this man has. He's 21. I really hope he can put it together.

Hes a very good passer but on a team with Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf and heck... Drouin, Im not sure thats true.

The offensive talent is through the roof finally.

Was Dach actually trying to pass to Drouin last night on Anderson's goal or was Dach shooting and it got blocked/deflected onto Drouin's stick?

I couldn't tell...still, he probably should have shot when he was in the slot but Dach definitely prefers playmaking than scoring.

He's better than all those guys apart prime Drouin.

Clearly trying to pass, is this a joke buddy?

Yeah 100% pass
Dach is definitely the type to know without looking his winger would be exactly there even if it is Drouin who kind of botched it lol
But that was a grade A pass and on the tape, so sweet
It's that type of stuff plus size that gets you picked top 5 in drafts

That pass was just, *muah* god lol
Party is only getting started with this dude, imagine in 2-3 years holy hell

All the tools are there, but it looks like he still needs quite a bit of development. I can see why hawks fans were frustrated.

Not sure exactly what’s missing.
