I heard it from someone that heard it from a player -they were told this morning he's gone.
Wow. Will be interesting to see what happens. Will they make 2 trades in the same day?

Maybe I’m wrong but to give up that many picks ups.Doesn’t look like he has been playing and hasn’t scored yet this year. Nothing against the player but not sure what Kory is thinking on this one? I’d rather invest in some consistent minutes with a guy like Cavlin first before selling half the farm.
I agree. Only thing that makes sense is this guy in 2 years will be an overager and probably a good one and maybe they can get some picks back then. Or it’s a replacement for Owen outwater as people here believe he will be getting traded

I assume there's gotta be more to McNamara than meets the statline? I've never seen him play but he's never really put up numbers - big, solid defensively kind of player?
He has all the talent in the world but didn't produce in Saginaw. I think he was ~#100 on the Central Scouting and then didn't get drafted...he for sure needs a change of scenery and system...he just never fit into our team from the get go even when we had a bunch of rookies. I think with some confidence and ice-time he'll do well for you.

Let's not overthink these moves. Both players were overrated/overvalued during the Covid draft. It is not any type of vast improvement for Fronts. Merely seeing if a change in scenery helps them both. At some point the change in scenery hope gets old though and you just have to accept that you are a third or fourth line player in this league.

If in fact Outwater is being moved as suggested

Let’s just trust that Cooper and Mann know what they’re doing until we see otherwise on this one. If we flip Outwater for McNamara in the end, we may have added a player with similar size, potential and offence, but added a player that actually uses his size and can play in all situations (and as a bonus is a centre).

It looks like they felt they couldn’t get that potential they wanted out of Outwater and seem to be grabbing a similar type player that they feel possibly might be able to hit that potential (and is a bit more dimensional).

Windsor acquires 2005F Owen Outwater from Kingston for 4th in 25 (Flint), 3rd in 26 (Gue), and 3rd in 27 (Wsr).

hmmm, poole., hayes, stewart not macdowell. what do they all have in common.
you forgot luds and buds, maybe you are showing why your extensive ohl scouting career ended.

Outwater has had assistant coach Casey Torress as his skills coach for many years, maybe this will help him turn it around if possible. Surely had a part to play in this, good luck to him, even if he is an 05

well mine ended due to covid and me being retired, i still have access to my rinknet, instat and the team said im welcome back anytime

when did yours start again?

didnt the owen sound page get on you because they thought you where jackson stewarts dad? its not just me, its everyone.

3 3 4 out, 3, 3, 4 in - essentially a straight swap of Outwater/McNamara, just pushed the draft capital back a year
Perfect. We knew what we had in Outwater and it wasn’t working. Let’s take another swing and hope it works out. Good trade! Also extra points in my book for finding a 3rd partner to get it done.

I hope Outwater figures it out in Windsor! All the best to him!

Hope that’s the case but this guy is the 4th overall pick not one of the last picks of the first round where London usually picks

Saw that too I’ve never heard the guy say one good thing about kingston and he praises Ottawa like they’re London

Took you long enough to come around they’re only 6-2 since Mann came here with 2 3rd period chokes they could be 8-0
London’s picks are pretty much 4th overall most years the way players will only report to them (see Marner, Mitch). Lol. So, I think the spot duty will be fine for Hopkins in the first half of the year. Especially since he got top of ice with the U17. Hopkins will get more ice when he develops a bit more.

Are you completely unable to realize and accept a compliment without looking for a fight?

As to OMG, I will just say that he looks at what he sees and hears. Remember if you look at the previous posts on this thread everyone was crying about the condition of the defence and the need for players to settle the defence. Is this a championship team NO but as he stated this is a team that has the resources to definitely make some interesting picks at the deadline either this year or next year.
Regarding OMG, he’s definitely not getting the goaltending info from on here nor watching the games as Vaccari has been elite most nights and is the strength of the team to go along with offensive depth.

With the resources it has it could be a championship level team this year, if it so chooses. It will be fun to see the 67s fans (and him specifically) realize they will likely be in a dog fight for the division. I would have thought blasting the 67s by a combined score of 10-3 would have done it, but maybe not yet. :)

your story not mine, maybe you should come out of retirement and let us see how brilliant you are, Anyone can have an instat account .
Let's stick to hockey that's what this is about right. I hate to see someone bragging about what they don't do anymore.
Good luck to Owen, hopefully he turns it around

Coach Mann played with Mcnamaras Dad, small little world this hockey world. His grandpa was ex leafs GM Gerry

certainly seems to be working, makes you wish we had done this earlier, like last year
Better late than never. Off-season would have been the best timing, but we’re still good for this year. I like that Mann quickly identified the lack of compete and had Cooper swap him for a guy that plays in all situations. And seems to compete. And also seemed to identify the penalty issues with Savard and seems to have addressed that too.

Just wanted to make a comment on Poole after watching yesterday’s game and say how incredibly valuable he is to this team the way he wins the key draws, PKs, block shots and plays his heart out. He was one of the three skaters on the ice for the 5 on 3 late in the third. I think he gets under appreciated by the fans (myself included) since he is not always piling up the points but IMO he is one of those invaluable pieces on our team.

And I expect he’ll be one of the three OAs next year on our run for the championship.

I've said that about Poole for a couple years, many parts to his game that they don't have stat lines for. Happy to see him get a bit of a gift yesterday
