Jackson Stewart 3 goals and 2 assists today against Windsor for the game of his life LOL. First period hat trick. Insane. Wonder where that came from all of the sudden

Regarding OMG, he’s definitely not getting the goaltending info from on here nor watching the games as Vaccari has been elite most nights and is the strength of the team to go along with offensive depth.

With the resources it has it could be a championship level team this year, if it so chooses. It will be fun to see the 67s fans (and him specifically) realize they will likely be in a dog fight for the division. I would have thought blasting the 67s by a combined score of 10-3 would have done it, but maybe not yet. :)
Hey Ottawa has been on top so long and Kingston has been struggling that it is nice to see Kingston finally having a coach and players to make it competitive lol

Interesting trade for McNamara I guess you guys are going for it.

Let’s just trust that Cooper and Mann know what they’re doing until we see otherwise on this one. If we flip Outwater for McNamara in the end, we may have added a player with similar size, potential and offence, but added a player that actually uses his size and can play in all situations (and as a bonus is a centre).

It looks like they felt they couldn’t get that potential they wanted out of Outwater and seem to be grabbing a similar type player that they feel possibly might be able to hit that potential (and is a bit more dimensional).
This trade could simply be releasing a player that did not fit the system for one that does. I said when mann arrived that there would be trades

I'm not sure what the standard is around the league but why does it seem the Fronts have such a lack of transparency with a lot of transactions - for example, even though he's still listed on the roster, I had no idea Cameron Bergeron was sent down to Jr. A back at the end of October... any releases (last year with Joshua Currie, Brooks/Ling this year etc), injury updates (I could've missed something but I don't know if I've seen anything at all from Frasca other than what's here and one mention in a Whig article). If I wasn't on here I'd have no idea about the majority of this stuff.

I agree they’re horrible with putting this stuff out look at londons Instagram they put everything out. Would be nice to know when people are expected back and if there’s people called up or sent down.

Kingston was competitive two seasons ago. They only problem is the years they load up so does Hamilton/Brantford who are in the same division.

Lol yes our 2017-2018 team I’m sure in most other years would’ve made it to the finals at the very least. Not sure about 2 seasons ago- maybe if they decided to load up at the deadline

Biggest problem is when we have good teams it’s because of a good coach. And when those coaches leave we get stuck with people like Caputi. We’re not as lucky as some of the other teams like Ottawa and London who consistently have good coaching

Would love to see Mann coaching the team from 2 years ago im sure they’d go further

The Peterborough Petes struggled with not so great coaching after Dick Todd left in 1993. Dave MacQueen did a good job and lead them to another championship. Brian Drumm was okay but Rick Allain could not get them out of the first round. Dick came back for two years and they won another championship. The coaches after Dick retired had no success and it was only when Jody Hull took over the team that they started to have success again. Rob Wilson has returned them to the successful team they use to be with them winning the championship last year and had a chance to also win it in 2020 if Covid had not cancelled the rest of the season and playoffs.

Well, does Mann change up the lines tonight with the trade or does he continue with what’s been working. Lots of centers now with the trade, With Hopkins back and now McNamarra in, does he move Hemstrom to a wing and Poole down? Also Is Savard confirmed gone? Too bad, I did like his intimidation, if they could only control the really bad penalties he would continue to be valuable. Hope the kid is ok.

I like what’s going on right now, each line is buying into their roles, so I’m of the opinion if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, you can tell they are building confidence. Now if we can get rid of the toe drag, we will be on another level.

I’m glad Outwater could go to a team where he will get minutes, just don’t think his gentle style worked well on this team

I would have to assume they just moved that 3rd line down and 4th line up. Would make sense as the 4th line plays pk anyways. I assume they’ll put callens with Poole and Heyes for that. And 3rd line probably Hopkins centre hemstrom and McNamara as the wingers. But could go McNamara as the centre instead.

Sure wasn’t the team that played Ottawa. Mississauga won all the puck battles. Some crazy bad turnovers, and just plain giveaways. so Many guys tried to stick handle through multiple opponents, only to lose the puck, Battaglia gives a consistant effort and has played really well on the top line, but tonight he forgot he had two linemates, tried to do everything him self, Tibideau forgot how good he was last game and same thing wouldn’t move the puck.

On d, don’t know what to say …. So many bad giveaways, Burns… I don’t think struggled is the proper word. Holmes was missing the net by 20 feet, the only guy that played decently was Budnick. McGowan let Chromiak by himself almost every shift, but to McGowans credit he did back check with speed.

PP was awful. Callans continuing his success on the third line, or was it fourth? Ludwinski’s, Hemstroms and Pooles line all scored. McNamara seemed to get lots of ice with Hopkins. Good skater, did well on the draws, and played with more grit than what we would have seen with Outwater but was a -2.

Only thing you can do is study the game film and bury it away. New day tomorro.

I agree.

And Jack Ivankovic is absolutely amazing, I don’t remember a rookie coming in and being this good in quite a while. He definitely kept Mississauga in the game. hard for the fronts to gain momentum when their goalie is playing so well.

Also Mississauga had fresh legs which helped them clearly the first half of the game getting up 4-0. Not sure why but Mississauga plays today at 3 after just finishing a game last night around 9:20. Not sure why they wouldn’t have a Saturday night game for 7pm.

If I was a betting man I’d bet mississauga has a slow start to their game today against Ottawa.

Surprised nobody else has said anything but last night was the worst game by far ive seen in the Mann era so far. Atleast from a fans perspective. They did generate quite a few good scoring chances but just couldn’t bury it whether it’s hitting the post, crossbar or Drobac making another save holy crap what a let down for a game honouring a franchise great. Refs were blind all night I counted about 6 penalties that should’ve been called to send kingston to the powerplay and we never got one the whole night. Even counted a few kingston plays that should’ve been penalties and they didn’t call them. 2 penalties the whole damn game and both were kingston penalties. How is that even possible? Only 2 penalties in 60 minutes of hockey. Sean Reid needs to retire he’s always bad in kingston but that was by far the worst game.

Agreed. Kingston called for two tripping penalties. Ludwinski tripped twice in one shift coming into the O zone, should have least had one power play. Saw an interview with Mann, basically said the effort was horrible, than corrected himself and said, not by everybody praised, Poole, Heyes, Callans, Hopkins and Cavelin. I think I would add McGowan to that list as well.

Poole hobbled on one foot all game after blocking two shots on the PK, he was visibly hurt all game and still played harder than most of the team. Thibideau was pulled from first line and was benched, at least that’s what I could see. One area of the game that I really noticed lacking in the last couple of games is playing with high energy and compete. Miedema has been a ghost lately, not one hard stride, turning pucks over easily with no battle? Not sure what he’s thinking?

Holmes continues to miss the net in wide margins and just looked lost at times in his own end. I don‘t think I saw more than three hits all game and it sure Wasn’t from the top six Trying to win pucks. Not sure I like the PK strategy, the one piece of structure Caputi did have was being extremely aggressive on the PK, pressuring the opponent to make a mistake and it worked. Mann‘s PK has everyone playing zone and not moving there feet, very easy for good teams to get the shot they are looking for when having time. Hope they make changes there.

Good for him correcting himself yes Poole, Cavallin and Hopkins to me stood out the most on the team last night. Credit to them they played great however for the rest of the team if your 3rd and 4th liners are showing up your first and second liners then there is a massive problem there.

I agree I don’t understand why miedema won’t shoot the puck more he has the best shot on the team and needs to use it more. When he was using it more he was one of the top players to start the year then he slowed down and has been on a cold stretch lately. Only had the one real good game I believe that was last week. The rest you don’t notice him much.

Pk has been pretty good so far but I agree they should know when to play man and when to play zone. Not just zone

As I've said before, poole will always give you 100%, we looked a bit disorganized for the first time in the =Mann era. It's only 2 games but Mcnamara -5 in those 2. Glad to see Thibadeau getting sat for selfish play . Always have said, kid can skate but, using his teammates not one of his stronger skills. Onward and upward

Yeah Poole and Heyes have never been a problem.

I wonder what the room is like now after trading 2 well liked players in outwater and schneider, savard leaving the team and bringing McNamara in. That’s a lot of changes in less than a week.

I think a lot of these guys know/have played with each other before at some level - especially the guys from GTHL so the room itself is probably fine, but as you said include the coaching changes 2 out 2 in....plus the player moves it's probably a lot of adjusting. They have a full week of practice this week which I think will help settle things down a bit.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Windsor should be a good reset game for them. Followed by a rematch with brantford and then finally Ottawa who’s number we have had this year. Hoping for 3/3
