Leafs first and second round picks the last three years:

2016 1: Auston Matthews. I guess this one is doing okay.
2016 2: Yegor Korshkov. Nine games in the KHL this year; zero points. Presumably injured.
2017 1: Timothy Liljegren. At one point found himself in the ECHL. Currently injured.
2017 2: Eemeli Rasanen. Lost his job in the KHL and currently playing in the Finnish minor leagues.
2018 1: Rasmus Sandin. Serious knee injury and uncertain short-term future.
2018 2: Sean Durzi. Drafted as overager. Has missed a lot of time this season with injury.

So, some quality in there of course, but just like every other team, every prospect is not gold. Injuries seem to be on the menu for Leafs picks.
The amount of flat out wrong with Sandin and Liljegren is actually hilarious. Sandin missed like a 2 weeks in late October or something and Liljegren was sent to the ECHL on a conditioning stint.....a couple days ago. He is on the Marlies top pairing. That is top quality framing to make a point though.

Korshkov is fair, but was doing decent before injury

Liljegren was in the ECHL for a conditioning stint, he has been doing very well in the A at a young age.

Rasanen is fair.

Sandin has been incredible and exceeded all expectations thus far.

Durzi has been injured.

I'm not fantasizing anything, all I said was that in my opinion it wouldn't take Sandin or Liljegren. You're the one going on and on about how the Leafs need to offer more, but won't shed any light into what you think other teams need to offer in comparison.

Here you go:

"TB could maybe do a 2nd + a prospect"

Now that there is an offer from another team, please tell us what Tampa needs to offer that is comparable to 1st + Sandin/Liljegren/Kapanen especially since Tampa's 1st will be worse than Toronto's.

Keep in mind though, at no point did I say the Kings should absolutely take that offer. I just think that's probably pretty close to our price range, given the 1sts we've already traded, combined with our prospect pool and depth chart. If another team beats that offer, all the power to them. I don't see us being overly competitive in this if other offers start ramping up.

Well i think the Habs would have to offer up their 1st and one of their top prospects but since i believe that Muzzin wouldn't make us a true cup contender i would pass.

If Muzzin's ask from LA is a 1st + Liljegren/Kapanen (which is obviously not the case because that is absurd) then the Leafs will move on to a true #1 D like Pietrangelo and offer that package plus some more pieces. Much better value.

I don't think LA will trade Muzzin this TDL though.

I would assume that the Kings would be looking to improve their back end if they are trading either Muzzin or Martinez. 4 of the Kings top 5 prospects are forwards and Clague is the only D prospect that moves the needle. So I would venture that the best 1st and D prospect is going to be the most enticing for them. With that said, maybe Sandin and Lil are too valuable to move in this sort of deal, but I don't see Bracco or Timashov being what the Kings are looking for.

The pieces the Leafs would have to add would have to be worth more than the package offered.

so no Lilijgren what about sandin i thought he was ur top prospect ur defense man prospect?
Both, as far as i am concrened; should be kept. I mistyped earlier. Lil is or top LHD prospect (With Gards leaving...very important) Sandin is our top RHD prospect.

Lol...more deflection. Come on man, it should be easy, if the price is 1st+Kap/Lil from TO...what is it for Pens/Habs? It ain't rocket science...lets see it.

At that offer, Forbort is your guy. Signed for an extra year like Muzzin

I don't think Muzzin's going to land the big return. I think the Kings are more likely to keep him if they stick to their guns. TDL acquisitions aren't pulling in the hauls they used to.

Huh....interesting. A couple of questions...you are saying "late 1st" with disgust....you think any lottery teams are going to be making offers?

Question 2, so far i have read fans of Habs/Pens/Oilers talking about interest, if the Leafs have to pay 1st +Kap or Lil or **** off....what's the comparable ask from those listed teams?

Idk what comparable asks will be but I’m sure other teams will offer something more interesting . Muzzin isn’t a UFA to be this year and he isn’t some chump either . He’s very good top 4 dman and it wouldn’t be smart for the Kings not to get a 1st plus decent prospect . Kapanen or Liljegren plus a 1st should work for the Kings but me personally I am not a big fan of Kap. I think he benefits playing on the Leafs team. The leafs are a powerhouse offensive team .

But leaf fans saying no to Lil or Kap plus the 1st is little delusional cause who else would the Leafs offer ?

If the Blues are in a better spot by the TDL (we are starting to look like a playoff team), then I can see them being interested in Muzzin for that price.

I can't say i blame u for not wanting to add one of the two However with your pick being so late I can't see the kings settling for someone less to be honest. I honesty think if the leafs got muzzin or martinez they would make it past boston ((also think the could use some more muscle aka clifford but another thread for that one ))

Because you can't answer it. But just for ****s and giggles...i will make it super easy for you. The Montreal Canadians are the perfect fit for Muzzin. They need a LHD...and have no cap issues. What is the equal trade value of 1st+Kap or Lil for them?

Now i fully expect you to deflect again...but to be fair, i will answer your question...why shouldn't Muzzin cost our 1st+young top 6 wingert or top prospect? Because McDonagh didn't....Karlsson didn't....Hamonic didn't....Hamilton didn't....
So since you asked two other posters a specific question that didnt pertain to our conversation at all, I have to?

Yeah ill end the conversation here you clearly have a bad attitude and are too emotionally invested in this topic

We all have our thoughts and Muzzin is not a UFA. Muzzin can play a top 2 role and fit right in. And Muzzin can lay body (which teams pay extra for), PK & PP, & has Cup experience in a top 2 role. Time will tell.
